Thank goodness for the wonder of DVR technology. I was able to see both of these last night.
Did any of you manage to see these both? We all know "24" and its edge-of-your-seat national security threats, but I was caught a bit off guard by "Heroes" and this latest episode. Swoosie Kurtz was eating at a diner, and she was reading a book, "RONALD REAGAN - An American life". As the episode progressed, it seemed clear to me that the producers were equating the oppression we conservatives are feeling right now to the witch hunt the "Heroes" in the story were going through.
I found it refreshing, because I had assumed "Heroes" producers were unabashed liberals like the rest of Hollywood.
In the minds of some, are there any other kinds, either corporations, or white men? ;o)
How is “viewing” detected? I have no clue as to how ratings are generated.
If ratings are generated by what channel the cable box is set to.....or what channel my TV demands from the cable network.......then shouldn’t it rate what my TiVo is taping since the TiVo actually changes the channel on the box?
Don’t know how it works with any other DVR.......but the ability to not watch commercials is well worth the extra charge.
The government does know since Nathan references getting orders from the president.
Yea Chuck is on my watch list. Watched the first maybe 10 minutes of Legend of the Seeker first episode on Hulu and it didn’t hook me. Maybe I’ll give it a try again sometime. Too busy re-watching SG-1 first season now on Hulu.
Legend of the Seeker starts out slow but picks up quite well and has some decent depth to it. If takes until about Episode 4 until it really hits its stride. If you can’t get in to the intro, try watching one of the episodes in the 4 to 9 range and then go back for the background the first episodes provide if you like it. Those episodes should be self-contained enough for you to know what’s going on without watching the opening. The 3rd episode isn’t bad but it’s not the strongest.
I used to love 24 but it may have jumped the shark. Bill is dead and that odious Garafalo woman is still on.
Last night's Chuck was a great episode. Chuck has been a favorite here since it started. Got to love the losers at the Buy More. The bit with Jeffster a few weeks back was so funny. If they release a CD soundtrack, that had better be on there.
