My run-down
Top male: Matt G. by far, despite the crowded male field. Solid all-around. Stay away from Coldplay, Matt, and you’ll be fine.
Top female: I’ll give an edge to Alexis depite the drumming she took from the judges. Allison was OK, though for me this was the least memorable since the start of the Top 36.
Bottom male (no jokes please): Adam. He’s one of the best vocalist and easily the best performer in the competition, but, ughhhhh, that was painful what I saw and heard this week. With the “judges’ save” he has more liberty to experiment, especially following David Cook’s path last season making songs his own (or at least emmulating a creative cover version).
Bottom Female: Still not terribly impressed with Megan, although much better than last week despite being sick this week.
In-between: Danny, didn’t like the verses at all, seemed very tentative, but did much better in the chorus... Anoop, better than last week, but I don’t see him going too much further... Kris, a decent singer, still see him being lost in the shuffle... Lil Rounds, out of her element, could have chosen the safe Whitney cover version but didn’t, average performance, too arrogant in the critique/discussion area... Scott, overshadowed by fellow pianist Matt, may not last much longer (if choreographers have anything to say, won’t last this round)... Michael Sarver, I liked his performance and actually overshadowed Adam this week, was curious about the vocals since they drew attention ahead of time to them and did notice it was hard to decifer the lyrics.
ROFL at your Chiclets reference! Totally!! And she leans forward and opens her mouth so round when she comments that it's like she is having her dentist at home check her molars from his bigscreen TV.
This thread cracks me up. I should be in bed but I can't resist it.
Agree!!
I really liked his performance and expect the recording will do quite well on iTunes.
I do not remember that.
(When it comes to the forgiving and forgetting thing, I do the latter quite well...)
Adam’s version of Ring of Fire was, I believe, the Rocky Horror Picture Show version. If there had been one.
Scott’s the one who needs to get voted off this week. I agree. I listened with eyes closed and there is nothing special about his voice.
Freddy Mercury was a GENIUS. His songs were absolutely amazing and timeless. No comparison with this insecure, overweening Adam.
Oh!
I never knew that...thanks for the explanation about the mods.
I have my own internal “ignore” button!
See ya’.
By the way, I LOVED Allison’s performance, and was creeped out big time by Miss Lambert!

Big Rounds -— LOL LOL LOL
I saw a PBS special with Eric Burden and he has LOST his voice almsot entirely. I felt embarassed for him.
John Mayall, on the other hand, who is in his 70’s, still sounds as fantastic as when he was with the Bluesbreakers forty yhears ago.
I’ve seen him in concert several times and he is still one of the greats.
I saw Donavan too, and John Kay and Steppenwolf, they were both really good, too.
Man, I miss the music of the ‘60’s!

I agree with your rankings pretty much. I have Danny first, Matt second, then Anoop and Kris. I know how amazing Allison’s voice is, especially for her age, but she just doesn’t do it for me dog. I think she just sounds too much the same in each song, like that Nurse Rocker from a previous season who kept getting in car wrecks.
No one else around here seems to have liked Megan but you and I - I really was impressed with her this week, moreso when I heard she has Influenza B, from which most people cannot even raise their heads off the pillow.
Adam was just WRONG. No matter how “good” his vocals, it was 100% creepy and unappealing. Very self-conscious glam. Sadly, my sons thought he was HILARIOUS, laughed all the way through it, wanted to see it 2 more times, and VOTED for him. :(
I’d miss Scott or Michael least if they went home.
When Gokey Downey Jr. got up to sing, I said, "It looks like he's going on a polar expedition." After the song Simon said the EXACT SAME THING!
A few comments, questions, and ONE observation, if I may.....
When did Megan Corkrey become Megan Joy? And will she become just "Megan" if she makes the top three?
Adam's outfit last night looked like closet drag. The jacket/blazer was shaped liked a woman's, and the tee underneath, well, the neckline was cut like a woman's also. When he first came onstage, I thought he was wearing one of Madonna's bra-thingees.
Here's the real drama upcoming this season...
When Adam ends up in the bottom three, and is voted off, will the judges use the save on him. Remember, it has to be unanimous. So Randy, Kara, and Paula will vote to save him, Simon will NOT, and the entire gay world will accuse Simon and AI of homophobia. Just you wait..
(((((Thank You both for Your concern & well wishes.
I’m sure the tests will go fine.
Not related to how I’m feeling Monday-?
I feel better, but today-tomorrow all can have is water in prep for the tests.
It’s just routine,I hope/pray & trust tis so...
I moved recently and my new Dr. wants to run some tests & then have a checkup & chat re: test results.
That’s the gist of it,for a public view update anyway...
Thanks again for Your replies!!)))))
Thanks much for the C U replacement pics... instead of those other sinful and pukey pics!
I saw/heard Carrie get asked/inducted!:) Well deserved and earned!!
Thanks for the ST. Pat Day green text,L ‘O L! :)
Micheal Sarver did a decent job. & I guess Simon doesn’t get that that song is soooo fast paced originally too.
I understood the words just fine.
