NYPD is reporting 12,500 at the NYC Tea Party!!!
OMG. I can’t believe they wasted the save on Matt?? He sucked...oh well...this year just sucks.
I see what your saying but here’s an example of where I’m coming from.
Matt may do well next week or not, that’s not really the issue with me. He’s good so hopefully he’ll benefit by the save in that way. Just because Matt was in the bottom 2 this week it does not mean he’ll be there next.
If, say Lil, does really bad or just doesn’t get the votes and is at the bottom, she goes home. But lets say Allison has a tough time w/ her song and ends up as the bottom 2.
This means we’d lose Lil and Allison. If Matt wouldn’t have been saved, he would have gone home and Lil would go next week. Allison would be safe.
That’s my point. Does that make sense?
Not really, because, Kris is just as hit and miss as Matt.
That’s a great test.
I often listen to the AI contestants with my eyes closed, so I can focus on their vocal qualities.
I would love to see Adam do an ABBA number...preferably “Dancing Queen.”
I don’t know if AI has the rights to any ABBA music, though.
I can totally see Adam going the lazy route and taking one of the orchestrations from the Mama Mia musical this week.
...now that you mention it..
Its not just the contestants fighting to stay alive each week on American Idol. Both Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi are in danger of losing their spots alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson at the overcrowded judges table next season, and the tension among the panelists has become unbearable.
The plan to add a fourth person backfired, an Idol insider tells OK! about the troubles that have been mounting since Kara joined the cast at the beginning of this season. Now the producers are left with a tough decision: Do they go back to the original three-judge format, or leave Kara there?
With all four judges in contract negotiation and no ninth-season spots confirmed the competition has turned fierce. As long as the show brings in millions of viewers, everyone wants a piece of it, says a pal of the former pop star. Paula wants to remain on the program for as long as Simon is involved, and Karas trying to stay on for as much time as possible. She wants Paula to get the ax.
The increasing turmoil marks a shift from the camaraderie once enjoyed by the female judges, who had been pals for a decade.
Kara was bold enough to come tap me on the shoulder, Paula has said of their initial meeting on an NYC sidewalk. After a few weeks of knowing the aspiring songwriter, Paula invited her to L.A. I moved a complete stranger into my home and we were the best roommates, Paula has said. I took her all around, and she has become one of the most successful songwriters.
But Paula shocked everyone when she told OK! in January, Kara and I get along great and have known each other for years, but we tried four judges before when we had celebrity guest judges sitting in, and it just doesnt work. Kara hit back in a statement: Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments and hurt that she did not address them to me in person.
Soon, things turned from what Randy, 52, dubbed man versus woman to a girl-on-girl brawl! http://www.okmagazine.com/news/view/13411
This is absolutely true. I use the “close the eyes” method every time too. And last night, I’d have sent home Miley Cyrus instead of any of the Idols. Her nasal voice was atrocious.
Adam’s a real talent. And somehow his costumes are more interesting to his look than the 30 lbs of fire-engine red hair is to Allison’s tiny little self.
Paula should win....Kara’s ok....Ive never sensed tension between the two...but for all we know Simon and Paula will be gone next year.....
Doesn’t he usually do someone else’s version of songs?
Well there’s a show I won’t be watching! lol
Susan Boyle singing Cry Me a River
That is great!
wow....absolutely amazing!
I had it playing in another window while I was posting the link and you would never believe that it was her.

Good to know there are others who are interested in the singing part of the competition. After all most music is “listened too” not watched ( major exception for MTV crowd)
