Seriously, I’m not perfect by any means, but THAT should have been taken care of before any national television coverage. It’s just distracting.

To: silent_jonny; All

Was that Kara or Paula who ran on stage and was bear hugging Matt?

I could see her doing some Donna Summer.

Not only that, but he seems smart and alert, as evidenced tonight by his description of Tarantino’s direction (editing his films with the energy a particular piece of music gives off). He’s really quite the guy. LOVE how he turned Simon’s “Rocky Horror” insult around, too. And the fact that he loves to dress up — his whole life long — is just his quirk.

Seriously, if Adam sings “It’s Raining Men” and does it campy, it would be HILARIOUS. He would bring down the house. The grandmother vote he might lose, but he probably didn’t have it anyway.

I hope they bring back Barry Gibb as the mentor.

LOL! What a horrible speech impediment or was it bad dentures? Man, you would think that one super platinum album would have been enough for the best dental work in England...

After a long, slobbering video intro, Jennifer Hudson takes the stage at 9:25 EST. I think this is pre-taped. Jennifer is everything Lil Rounds thinks she is, but isn't.

The be fair, there is NO WAY Jennifer would have pulled this off when she was an Idol contestant. On the show, she was a one-trick-pony in terms of being a "belter" -- glad to see she's developed the ability the deliver a more nuanced performance.

I didn't care for the song, personally. But that's beside the point.

I am hoisting up my mirrored disco ball in my computer room, even as we type........(you just KNOW Mounds is gonna Yelp out a Gloria Gaynor or Dona Sommer tune....buy stock in ear protection, folks!!)

I'll bet the house payment (since I can get bailed out anyway, right?) that Lil' will butcher "I Will Survive" next week.

I actually wore that exact suit (minus the hat) in a high school production of "Grease".

It was my first protest ever. Huge turnout from what I could see. At the end we thanked the NYPD who were great as usual. Met so many nice folks on the subway home, too. Everyone said they were inspired now and fired up for the next event.

Sounds like you had a great time, even though you were cold :) I've noticed that the media is surprised (and maybe disappointed) that the people at the Tea Parties are so civilized and well-spoken.

You know us scary right wingers...at the end the organizer asked us to thank the NYPD and then to please pick up our litter as we all proceeded in an orderly manner to the subway chatting about how much fun we had.

Same observation. Love him, or hate him, this guy has brought some real energy to this years show.

General comment of AI competition....

To my wife and I, the test is close your eyes, and imagine you are listening to a radio, and hear a song for the first time.

How quickly does it catch you, and do you want to hear it again.

That’s how we try to filter the nuances of all of the contestants.

Not from AI but proof of this is the Scottish women who belted out Le Miz on the Brit version of AI.

Looking at her no one gave her a chance, but hearing her made you want to listen again.

” I’ve noticed that the media is surprised (and maybe disappointed) that the people at the Tea Parties are so civilized and well-spoken. “

That’s because their vocabulary is made up of more than:

“Give me or I deserve”

My father made my mother throw out a package of Mary Jane candies because he thought they had drugs in them.

Disco night! Adam will sing one of the Village People songs, possibly “IN the Navy”. Or YMCA! He can be the indian. :)

LMAO! For some reason I picture him as the police officer.

I am in the minority I guess because I really like Matt.

I like Matt, but he wasn't great last night. That kid is like a cat always landing on his feet. This is the second time Simon saved him.
