I think he deserved to stay anyway...of course I have not watched it yet. lol. The reason is because he has had some good moments and to go down to six and then use the save next week would mean four left the following week...I think they just wanted to extend this out a week since their is no guilt week this year. If they used it on Lil which I think they would have I would not be as happy. Now next week if Adam and Danny go home...that would be hillarious!!!!!

For me the author of that piece is making way to many assumptions about the entertainment industry as a whole, 19 Entertainment, and Adam himself. The last time I checked 19 has some of the best song-smiths out there. And someone with Adam's vocal range can really fit the bill and produce hits and work well with many song writers. Plus they buy a ton of music each year like any other recording company. So there will be a lot of material for Adam to pull from plus his own material, he has proven that he can arrange pretty good on his own and he has a good musical knowledge base, for him to make a really good record.

Secondly he could put out the number of albums needed to full fill his contract to AI-19 and still find time to put a band together. In the music world one meets lots of other musicians and makes contacts all the time. So putting a band together is not that hard. Also playing in a band you always find a couple of members that push you to be better because of their talent and one can feed off that and produce better material. Whether it is 3-20 piece type of band your getting a lot of musical backgrounds and influences that can drive you to be better. The hard thing is knowing the sound you want and getting people to commit to your vision. If he gets his sound the way he wants and the style he wants to pursue then sky is the limit there.

I don't know Adam so I can only judge from what I have seen and heard on AI that his vocal capabilities are really good for rock, emo, and the indie type fo sound. I don't know his creative process and it is different for every artist so to pigeon hold him right now would be useless by not knowing his musical style he favors the most.

Plus the idea of author that being on AI causes you to lose you street credentials is just stupid. There is plenty of life after AI if an artist is committed to his or her craft and if you got the skills, which he has, then lots of bands, producers, and record companies will want to work with you.
