They have this week and next week to use their ‘save’. when they get to the top 5 it cannot be used.

I think they would like to use the save, so they can show how it works, but, I think they are cautious since the following week, they will lose two and I think they know the next week’s theme in advance.

I can’t believe Dail Idol has Lil Obama (VFTW’s candidate) as in 2nd place! That’s a joke. She deserves to go home and should have weeks ago.

She's this years John Steven's.

Danny is coasting along doing pretty much the same thing every week... this clearly annoys Simon (who speaks with the producers’ voice).

Danny was given notice by Simon this week about that very thing so next week Danny should be doing something different.

(But will he date Clay Aiken?)

Adam can do better.

Good point. Kris may be the “dark horse” if Danny doesn’t break next week. I suspect he may as Simon’s been after him about it.

Well....our “Tea Party” today is at 11am. (I took the day off to do this) I’m going to get ready, mail my income tax and head off.

I threw him more than a few votes! He certainly is not my favorite and I know he won’t win, but he does have a nice voice and I’d like to see him stick around a bit longer. Hopefully he won’t be in the bottom 3 again tonight.

And maybe some encouragement!

######

Please go! The cumulative numbers all across the country will be encouraging to everyone. I am in the reddest state in the country!

Just put some American flags on your highly visible stroller, and if you have time to make a sign, it should be something like:

My children
do not deserve
to have
Obama’s debt

” Adam’s version not my favorite for that song. But vocally he delivered big time and did some amazing things. I have to give him credit for that. “Born to be Wild”, having played and sung it live, is one of those songs you have to put alot of energy into to live up to what Steppenwolf did. “

Thanks for that insight. It helps to get a prospective from someone who has actually performed the song.

I’d agree that he’s the risk taker of the group. We may not exactly like what he does, but he’s got more range than any of the current contestants, and has shown more variation in style to me than any other. e.g. Tracks of my tears, and Mad world offset comments on only being a screamer.

excellent synopsis

I agree with your assessment of Adam and hope that the voters feel the same way. His “thing” is wearing thin. Too much screaming, too much theatrics.

Danny has what David Cook did minus a bit of the talent. The common factor- consistency. However, Danny does not have the ability to make a song his own as David Cook did.

Adam Lambert is he next Axl Rose, you guys don’t have a clue, he has more talent than the rest of the cast.

I've never posted on this thread before now. But I am compelled, Adam Lambert is the best performer, (other than Carrie Underwood) that this show has ever produced. He's a great vocalist and his performances are compelling. He's superb. Period.

I agree, and by a long shot he is a mile above the rest, he works with the band all week and orchestrates how he wants all of the instruments to sound, and then, while whaling out a hell of a song plays around with the audience, head bangs with the band, and has a blast, it's so easy to him he can do it all. The other contestants are lame by comparision and can barely pull off their mundane attempts at singing, if you cannot see that then you are blind.

Oh, please. Lambert is a novelty act, fit for covering late 70's/early 80's stuff like Queen and Billy Idol, but can't do anything truly original.

On the whole, this year's crop is below par. The one who has a real chance at a successful rock or pop career is Allison. As long as she doesn't burn out (or her voice gives out), she'll do fine.
