Good point...that's why I hope they do the surgery..and Yeah, it's not a cheap surgery....kittens only 1.4 lbs and the equipment must be really small to do the tricky surgery....I'm waiting for a return call....thx...

Another ultra-boring night with the snuff film king Tarentino as a vocal mentor. (That’s a joke in itself.) Here’s my take on this parade of mediocrity.

Here’s my overall take and rating:

1. Allison Clarkson - Don’t Want To Miss A Thing – Not her best this season but it was simply an incredible vocal. Best of the night for me.

2. “Robert” Danny Jr. - Endless Love – Powerful and emotional performance. Danny’s the “guy” to beat this season. He’s “popular” and has the chops to back it up.

3. Kris Puberty-boy- Falling Slowly - Horrible song choice but after hearing it a 2nd time I believe he really nailed the vocals. This kid can sing pretty well but Randy and Kara split their decision.

4. Anoop 7-11 - Everything I Do – Too slow and not enough “power” in his vocal. You just can’t beat Brian Adams with this song.

5. Matt The Hat- Did You Ever Really Love a Woman – Just OK for me. The guy’s a pretty good singer but it didn’t show in this arrangement.

6. Adam Ram-butt - Born to Be Wild – Screatchy and horrible arrangement. Ruined a true classic tune. I agree with Simon (and posted it before him) that this guy’s too much Rocky Horror.

7. Lil Obama- The Rose – Total trainwreck. Horrible and pitchy. Over sang a simple and great song and got a nasty “Michelle Obama” attitude with Simon.

I can’t believe Dail Idol has Lil Obama (VFTW’s candidate) as in 2nd place! That’s a joke. She deserves to go home and should have weeks ago.

My guess is that Kris or Matt will go because they just don’t have the “following” that Danny and Gay-boy Adam do. Too bad because both sing fairly well.

BTW…I’ll probably miss tonight or be very late so I’ll have to catch up via the thread. (This tread give you all you need and is better than the actual result show anyway)

After watching the show again with Mrs. Tony, who was out last night, I figured out what’s really going on!! The comments by Simon really gave it all away.

Simon (and the producers) put Allison 1st last night because they know she’s a great singer but for some reason does not “connect” with the fans as Simon said last week.
If they’re going to use the SAVE this year, they figured they’d give her the best chance of being on the bottom so they could SAVE her. If she’s safe this week I don’t see them using the save for Kris or Matt because for “males,” Adam and Danny have the votes.

They won’t save Lil now and it’s clear that Simon does not want her to win but he didn’t want her to go tonight because he’d rather use the save for Allison. He “slammed her” last night (twice) and she will survive on the “sympathy vote” even though her vocals were atrocious.

Make no mistake about it, they want a male/female finals this year and they were very “weak” on female talent. At first they thought that Gangrene Arm Meg could do it but soon figured out she didn’t have the chops. Neither does Lil. Allison has them but again, for some reason she’s not connecting. (Look for her in the “pimp spot” in the final 4 as the save will no longer be an option.)

Adam DOES have talent but he’s way over the top and not a person who would do well as an “Idol.” He’s not the “All American Boy” that they want to showcase like David Arculetta or David Cook. He belongs in musical theater and not as a pop/rock star.

Danny on the other hand has been a fan favorite since the auditions. His story (wife dying before the auditions) tugs at our heart strings and he seems like a genuine nice guy. His vocals are not great but they are very good and he’s got marketability.

I believe that Simon is now pushing for an Allison vs. Danny finals. Allison SHOULD win but Danny probably will due to his natural appeal.

Adam will use his idol experience after being voted off from the final 3 or 4 to become a successful Broadway performer. (But will he date Clay Aiken?)

Allison and Danny will have decent careers but since Allison will “grow” she will probably do much better in the long run, like Chris Daughtry.

Matt, Kris and Anoop will all make music and I wish them well.

Lil Rounds will join the Obama 2012 campaign and disappear into oblivion.

I agree with your assessment almost 100% — it’s possible to see Kris instead of Danny, especially if he can deliver another “wow” performance soon. Danny is coasting along doing pretty much the same thing every week... this clearly annoys Simon (who speaks with the producers’ voice).
