Seacrest asks the judges their thoughts on the performances last night.
Randy: Flat and off.
Kara: Some people are good and some people are bad, and some people are better than others while others aren't quite as good.
[She didn't actually say that, but it sounded about the same]
Seacrest introduces an old b&w clip of Frankie Avalon singing "Venus", the number one song when Cowell was born.
The real Frankie Avalon--hair piece firmly in place--suddenly walks out on stage, singing "Venus" live. The judges are really surprised. Simon almost falls out of his chair.
Group song is also live. "Set Me Free ... I can't get you out of my head". It goes on and on! Finally a commercial break.

why do they try and cram this into ONE hour...why not do 90 minutes, have 15 minutes more of commericals? It makes NO sense whatsoever. Another popular show "Fringe" returned last night with a new epsiode.

I know he’s not popular on this thread but I really like Anoop for some reason. I think he has a nice voice and is probably a decent person. The next American Idol? No way...but I’m not ready for him to go home quite yet.
