.
I thought the exact same thing. I laughed at the title 'In Touch'. He's touching all right! lol
Did you have a good fourth?
I thought you two could use a good dose of Paula-news this morning:)
Manager: Paula Abdul ‘Hurt,’ ‘Angry,’ May Not Return To ‘Idol’
Sat Jul 18, 10:13 AM PDT
Paul Abdul may not return to “American Idol” for a ninth season, her manager claimed in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times.
“She’s not a happy camper as a result of what’s going on. She’s hurt. She’s angry,” David Sonenberg, the “Idol” judge’s manager, told the newspaper on Friday.
David, who said that he became Paula’s manager just weeks ago, at the end of June, added that he has yet to receive a proposal for a new contract for Paula.
“I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful,” he said. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do.”
The result of the stalled negotiations, David said, is that Paula is unlikely to be back on the show she’s judged for eight previous seasons.
“Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on ‘Idol,’” he said.
David’s remarks come on the heels of the news of show host Ryan Seacrest’s new contract, a reported $45 million, three-year deal that makes him the highest-paid reality host on television.
Judge Simon Cowell is also in negotiations to renew his contract, while third judge Randy Jackson is attached to the show through 2011.
Auditions for Season 9 begin on August 6, with the show set to return in January.
Good morning! :-D
Paula will be back. This is a tactic to force the networks hand.
It doesn't say in the article why Paula is hurt and angry, but I bet it has everything to do with Kara being on the show. She's the one they need to get rid of, not Paula.
Have a great Monday!
I took a couple of photos over the weekend that I think came out pretty well. Yes, this one I manipulated the exposure in Photoshop, but I think it came out pretty.
Okay, I think this bee was either dead or it was REALLY into this flower.
M G got his mole removed just over 2 weeks ago.
Nice work RK. I see you have found stuff to do during your Idol-free days:)
Thanks! It keeps me off the streets. ;-)
The only thing about doing nature photography is I am covered in all kinds of mystery bites. I think one is mosquito, but God only knows what the rest of them are.
If the bee was dead then I guess he went happy ;-)
I can't tell what you photoshopped in the first photo. The focus, contrast? Whatever you did it looks great!
LOL! True. We should all go doing something we love.

Thank you! When I took the photo, I over-exposed by 2 stops and upped it a little more in Photoshop. Then, I turned up the brightness, tint, vibrance and saturation, turned down the contrast, and upped the highlight recovery to +100. Oh and I cropped it a little.
I am generally not a big Photoshop fan, because I like taking pictures not fooling around on the computer. But now that I'm learning a little more about post-processing, little tweaks can help an okay photo turn into a nice or really great photo.
And you just had to go in your face sex with the second one. I can't believe you didn't get a bird in there with the bee. Talk about kinky a bird, insect, and plant threesome. :)

You know, I didn't even think of that, but you and Jonny both did. Hm....
I don't know what happened to my tag line, but I like of like "retrokittening photography" so I'm going to leave it.
I use photoshop to adjust the brightness and contrast in my pictures too. My scanner sometimes washes the colors out and makes the picture look faded. I didn't like adjusting them that way at first because it felt like I was cheating, LOL! But it's necessary.

What?? I just thought the bee liked flowers
:)
I totally agree about feeling like cheating.
I don't know how it is in the art world, but with photography some lean way too heavily on software tools instead of learning how to actually take a decent photograph. They don't know the basics of composition- like the rule of thirds- but they can tell you what every tool in PS does.
IMO, 75% of art and photography is how you look at things. The rest can be learned from a teacher or a book.
I know exactly what you mean.
Have you ever heard of Wacom Tablets? I hate these things.
People use these to create a picture, then claim that they "painted" it or "drew" it when the Tablet did most of the work.
Jack Sparrow by a Wacom.
This is the only time I get snobby about this stuff, LOL. If someone doesn't have actual paint on their hands, or charcoal under their fingernails or pastel dust in their nose, then they didn't draw or paint anything!
/rant off :-)
I am so with you! That's part of the fun of creating something. Nature photographers should at the very least be covered in bug bites, cuts and scratches, and have dirty knees (probably elbows, too).
Something relying too heavily on the computer creates a sterile picture, because the computer has no personality. IMO, in art and photography, the viewer should get to know the creator as much as the subject.
Yes! I was trying to think of a word to for it and sterile describes it exactly.
That should be...something ABOUT relying...
I should maybe start proofreading before I hit send. LOLOLOL
Yes, we did. How was yours?
