Adam was just on with the Friends...Brian asked if Simon’s pimping (not his exact term) hurt him. Adam said that he didn’t think so...but that Simon wanted to help someone like him.

Honestly I can’t listen to anything they are singing, because Queen Latifah is in a cat suit. I’m all for big girls doin’ their thing, but that’s just inappropriate. She looks like a potato.ROTF!

I voted for Kris not against Adam's lifestyle. Many of us did not care for his screeching or the constant pimping by the judges. They did the same thing for Little David last year and America revolted. By the way, I just read this on MJ's:
UPDATE: TV host, Billy Bush just tweeted this: Source at the top says Votes were NOT close on idol. IE kris blew out adam lambert

I believe the reason Adam didn’t win was because of his lifestyle That's part of it, for sure. Most voters didn't want such a flamboyantly fruity American Idol. ...and I don't blame them. But there are other factors involved as well.
1) Chris owned the teenage girls. And if you have them, you usually win.
2) A lot of viewers were turned off by the judges constantly pimping and swooning over Adam. No one likes to be told how to vote.
3) Adam's shrieks were way over-the-top and overdone, and designed purely to sway the parts of the audience easily impressed by vocal range.
4) Although Adam's vocal range is indeed impressive, his style range is decidedly less so. Chris beats him in that category. ...and it's a very important one.
