.
I can't imagine them doing that song. Allison doesn't have the range Lauper has and can't hit those high notes.
Maybe Lauper will song that song with Adam. Course it would an angry type of fun.
I was looking at Megan’s audition

Why didn’t she sing that whole song on the show? It was this style that I liked about her and it just never really appeared on the show. I guess maybe they couldn’t get clearance for it.
I’m too lazy to look through and see who it was, but someone was saying they didn’t get a confirmation text for their votes last night.
I just received the confirmation now. “Idol: Your votes for Kris were received.”

LOL...funny Jonny is. :)
FWIW, who knows what seeds Kris Allen will sow. God bless him. He's a walker.
I said to my wife as Kris sang his song that this is what is album will sound like if he wins. AI spends so much time and effort to come up with stars then they turn around and give them absolute crap to sing on their albums. I am thinking Danny and Allison really lucked out by going deep but out early enough to be able to do their own thing.

Yeah, Kris seems like a genuinely nice and tolerant individual.
Oh how I hope Dial Idol is right this time!
He's probably not sowing any seeds then, or he'd have sown them with his brother!
Congrats! I know you will look lovely in your Chanel helmet.
I wonder what your Mom will think of it?
‘Tis true that Kris does not enunciate, but that can be corrected with practice.
His musicianship far excels that of Adam, who plays no other instruments ( unless you count the flutes he toots.)
Agree. As per Elliott’s experience.

‘Idol’ wins Tuesday with lowest-ever finale; ‘Glee’ preview OK
The preview of Fox’s new musical dramedy “Glee” posted a decent stand-alone number, though it lost a large portion of its lead-in from the “American Idol” finale.
The advanced look at Fox’s new series, which officially premieres next fall, lost roughly half the “Idol” audience. The heavily promoted “Glee” was seen by an estimated 9.9 million viewers and drew an approximate 3.9 rating among adults 18-49 rating. By comparison, the “Idol” performance finale drew roughly 23.7 million with an 8.6 rating.
The numbers are factoring about three minutes of “Idol” overrun into “Glee,” but could shift by a tenth in the official nationals.
For “Idol,” it was the competition’s lowest-rated finale ever, including its first season summer run.
Comparing “Glee” to past Fox shows is tricky, but last year “Hell’s Kitchen” performed a 5.2 rating out of the “Idol” finale.
Fox has positioned the “Glee” airing as a marketing initiative rather than a ratings grab and had staffers monitoring iTunes, blogs and Twitter to gauge reaction to the show. “It was the No. 1 topic all night on ‘Twitter,’ “ read a Fox email.
Spokesperson Joe Earley said the network was pleased with the numbers and public response.
“The measurement for success last night was never about the demo rating,” Earley said. “We’re definitely happy with the way ‘Glee’ performed, we knew how tough the competition was going to be, last night was a marketing experiment and we got almost 10 million people to see it, which is fantastic. We could work all summer long marketing the show and not get those many people, and certainly not in the fall.”
“Glee” was dominated by the finale of “Dancing With the Stars” (20.1 million, 5.1), which ruled the rest of the evening. “Dancing” came into the neighborhood of the “Idol” tally among total viewers and matched its audience from last year, while slipping just a tad in the demo.
CBS had the solid season finales of “NCSI (16.1 million, 3.3), “The Mentalist” (16.8 million, 3.7) and the series finale of “Without a Trace” (11.3 million, 2.5). NBC had repeats and “Law & Order: SVU” (6.7 million, 2.4). The CW aired a low-rated episode of “Reaper” (1.8 million, 0.7)and the “90210” finale (2.1 million, 1.0).
Sounds like a lot of people are not finding this final two to be all that great!
i think adam is a huge turnoff. they keep calling him a superstar, the next elvis, an icon, a worldwide phenom.
then why are the ratings so low???? the whole season? i guess that think if they say it enough times it will be true. people are not emotionally connecting this year. the adam fans are rabid in the same way that perez hilton went rabid on mz. california. there is something rotten in california that the rest of the country is buying into.
“I think Kris wins as well. Unless Idol cheats. I dont trust anyone anymore.”
Haven’t read thru all of this yet, but I agree with you. Idol has a tremendous amount invested in Adam. We all saw it this season. Kris won on dialidol by 1.1 I think. Too close, Kris needed to win by an undisputable amount. The producers can give it to Adam. Kris has been winning with younger fans’ text votes but I don’t know of any site that can count them. My guess is that he won, dialidol always showed him lower than what he finished each week. I predict the AI/19E people will give it to Adam.
