Adam Lambert
A montage of Lambert's screams this season. Forget waterboarding--that's torture. His parents let him scream as much as he wanted to as a kid. Figures.
Adam appears in a green fog for his first performance, wearing all black and a black trenchcoat.
His song is repeat from an earlier performance. "Mad World."
Eerie.
He gets a standing ovation.
Randy: Check it out! This is it! Down to the wire. Loved that you're showing your sensitive side. Rocking the long coat, love the fog. Give you an A+ for that one dude. A for Adam!
Kara: Incredible artist. You rocked again tonight.
Paula: Unbelievably proud I am that you're standing on that stage. Long journey. More subdued introverted performance. Theatrical taste of what we're going to see.
Simon: Always thought this was your best performance. For some reason, maybe it was because of the coat, it was a little theatrical. It reminded me a little of Phantom of the Opera.
Randy: (knowing the Ashley Ferl demographic, corrects Simon) Twilight! Twilight!
Adam: I'm playing dress-up, Simon!

Hi Jonny. Great intro to tonight's festivities. BTW, speaking of the cross-dresser from San Diego, s/he is prettier than a lot of female hopefuls who appear on Idol.
We just had our second magnitude 4+ earthquake here in the last few days. The epicenters for both are about five or six miles from where I live. Pretty sharp jolts. I emailed a friend and jokingly wondered if even Mother Earth is mad at how the politicians have run this state into the ground. I supposed it's worth adding that Mother Earth could also be mad at the entertainment industry for all the smut and crap it spews forth. :)
