Loved this new verb!!
I do like him. I think he can be versatile (though I don’t think he will want to, too much, in his career — hey, but that is his choice), he has a lovely voice, a very powerful voice, and he appears to be quite humble and somewhat intelligent.
You caught his biggest flaw: he hams it up too much. Glams it up a bit much, and is sometimes over the top.
I predict a great career for Adam, and I predict he will tire of the current glam-rock, slightly goth look he has affected (as it is quite the artificial affectation), and I can see him going back to his natural red hair, softening up, and realizing that his center lies in his very passionate soul. I see him making people cry and laugh with his music. He has amazing potential.
The gothy-bowie look is only a phase for him. Once he comes into his own, he will be able to relax and be more himself. Elton John doesn’t wear the accoutrements he was first known for, either.
LOL! Well, raise ‘em up right, eh? :) My boys used to get excited about the Pretenders song that Rush uses for bumper music — they would dance and gyrate all around the kitchen whenever they heard it! But they haven’t started hollering “Rush!” yet! :)
Sorry, couldn’t resist posting this one too!

It melted my heart too.
Very sweet. My cynical husband had a big ol' dopey smile on his face when he heard it. And he hates watching Idol.
Sorry for Danny, but the powers that be ordained Adam as a finalist long ago, and they’ve used every possible way to influence the vote to assure it.
That said, if I heard Ran correctly, and less than 1 million votes separated Adam and Kris, then Kris is going to win. Danny’s voters are going to flock overwhelmingly to Kris as opposed to Adam. If Adam wasn’t already pulling in the high 40+%, he’s not going to win this thing.
I don't know if Diana is just being classy about it, but she's said that there was a known "dead spot" on the stage in terms of the monitors, and that she accidentally wandered into it, forgetting it was there.
Carrie Underwood, but that's no fair because it's an "alum".
When was the last time she was on?
I will say it again - I believe Kris has been the top vote getter for quite a while. His homecoming proved out my theory--it's all about little girls with unlimited texting.
Danny probably has more fans than Kris, but they are an older and more diverse audience. I was shocked to see all the middle aged and older men at the Summerfest grounds when Danny gave his concert. Problem was, many of those fans didn't vote.
And I put them to bed a little while ago, and right now I can still hear them talking to each other in little bits and pieces ... and Sam just said, Imon Cowuh! Imon Cowuh! which I *think* means Simon Cowell.
LOL!! That's cute.
Even though they're only two, they're already more articulate than Paula ;)
LOL!
You need to go back and read this thread. Of course not everyone doesn't like him for that reeason. If you don't like his "screeching" style or whatever. But you're turning a blind eye to 1/3 of this thread.
It's seared into my memory. Simon's too probably :)
He had kind of the same look on his face during the Alicia Keys sermon/Rwandan kid performance last night. "What the ...?"
That was a nice moment.
That was tame compared to this :) But we were all accused of being racists when Vonzell (the third-runner up) was eliminated, LOL
I found this on Wikipedia:
Savol recently finished a brief stint at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center in Lubbock, Texas, as the Cowardly Lion, in Todrick Hall's retelling of the Wizard of Oz. Oz, the Musical sold out both nights. He starred alongside Season Two alumni Rickey Smith as the Tinman, Season 4 alumna Mikalah Gordon as Dorothy, and Vonzell Solomon as Glinda/Aunt Em.[1] He has an upcoming song titled "Don't Rush", produced by Washington, DC based production team The BeatMoguls, that is hitting the airwaves. In June 2008 Savol starred as one of the headliners for a live music show in Branson, MO, named "America's Favorite Finalists". The show featured 6 top 12 American Idol Finalists performing their own music, cover songs and group numbers. The show ran at the Grand Palace and was produced by Steve Drummond, America's Favorite Finanlists.
AH—you beat me to Wikipedia, LOL! :)
” I will say it again - I believe Kris has been the top vote getter for quite a while. His homecoming proved out my theory—it’s all about little girls with unlimited texting.”
Agree. The attendance at the hometown event appeared to be predominately under teenage fans....
That said Chris is a talent, and this should be an interesting finale.
His artistry vs Adams vocal skills.
Does anyone know what the Finale format has been or will be?
I think that will go a long way to deciding the outcome.
” Danny probably has more fans than Kris, but they are an older and more diverse audience. I was shocked to see all the middle aged and older men at the Summerfest grounds when Danny gave his concert. Problem was, many of those fans didn’t vote. “
I think what we saw was a commentary on the nature of America cities.
Adam - San Diego - large city ( 1,266,731 pop ) - West Coast - Idol no big deal - had to go to local venues to get support
Danny - Milwaukee - ( 602,191 pop) Midwest city - proud to get some recognition - good mix of age groups
Chris - Little Rock - smaller city (187,452)- South - bring out the town to show we can do it.
Lots of kids due to fan base , and more family interest.
Sweet story re: your twins!!:)
