.
sigh, where’s Perry Como and Nat King Cole when we need them?
LOL!
I admire/thank people who help others out, needed or not :) I just wanted to commend you.
I thought Paula and her sister (maybe partner) were a little too close for sisters, I have two and we aren’t like that
10,000th poster! I can’t believe I lost again. Well at least it wasn’t lil freeper:)
That picture is beautiful, thanks for posting.
SAN DIEGOAdam Lambert's old high school put on a show Friday for the "American Idol" finalist, with cheerleaders, a marching band and thousands of fans and students celebrating their hometown music hero. In return, Lambert, 27, offered the crowd at Mt. Carmel High School two songs and a few words of appreciation.
"This is so weird," he said, thanking the crowd from a makeshift stage on the packed stadium's field. He advised students to "believe in yourself" no matter what others may say.
His entrancein a cherry-red convertiblewas heralded by the screams of cheerleaders. The marching band played as Lambert slowly cruised the stadium track, drawing shouts from the bleachers.
Lambert's renditions of Michael Jackson's "Black or White" and "Mad World" won applause despite a tinny sound system.
His "American Idol" competitors, Danny Gokey of Milwaukee and Kris Allen of Conway, Ark., were also feted by their towns Friday, with Fox taping the events to air next week on "Idol."
MILWAUKEEDanny Gokey was so shocked by his young wife's sudden death last summer that he couldn't cry during her funeral at Faith Builders International Ministries. On Friday, the 29-year-old "American Idol" finalist returned to the church for a joyful event, singing gospel songs to 1,000 or more people, including friends, family and fans.
"To see him from where he was, because I was here for the funeral, this room packed out for a funeral and now: joy," said his friend, Ruben Burgos, 26.
(SNIP)
He started his day early Friday morning at the local Fox affiliate, WITI-TV, where hundreds of people, many young girls, screamed his name and held signs that read "Ga Ga Gokey, ur our idol" and "We love you Danny."
After the visit, Gokey said he's struggled with song selection on "Idol."
"I've always done gospel music and I don't know much about the music outside of that realm," he said. "Literally every song I pick, I'm learning. I don't know what to pick and song choice has been the most difficult thing for me, and it only gets harder as it goes."
Allen, 23, is one of three left on the show and Friday Idol cameras are in Little Rock and Conway to document his hometown visit. The footage will air during Tuesday night's show.
Allen, a UCA student and business major, is spoke to several local radio show hosts Friday morning, performed in the River Market in Little Rock. People flocked to Little Rock to catch his performance, holding signs of support and screaming his name.
Friday evening, he's performing at Simon Park in Conway after a parade held in his honor there as well.
Jennifer Ragsdill, a close friend and fellow worship leader with Allen at New Life Church in Conway, appeared on "Today's THV This Morning" and said, "I hope people realize what you see on TV - the humble Kris, is really what he's like."
Go Danny (from a fellow Wisconsinite).
Yes, but remember... Kara is an idiot.
And as a conservative, I couldn't help but chuckle at the low groans of disapproval that went through the crowd when they listed the Dem "dignitaries" on stage (House of Representatives Gwen Moore got the biggest and most negative reaction - and deservedly so!)
If only we here in Dannyland were a Red state (again!)
Don’t be surprised if we get Danny/Chris in the finale , with Chris the winner.....
Something strange about Chris and his concession speech, then being first one safe, and then his handing the plaque to Daughtry that has sparked this thought.
Sure it could be just hyping the smaller numbers, but sometimes the obvious is presented, and in the hype over every thing else it is missed.
In any case our vote on how it should shake out:
1. Adam
2. Danny
3. Chris
That would suggest that AI knew in advance that Kris would win and thus had him hand Daughtry the plaque.

Maybe. Time will tell. They do seem to stage selections/events to keep our interest peaked.
Does anyone know if this is a pure viewer vote, or do the judges get an x percent vote themselves, and the winner is determined from a combination of the two ?
Vocally, could Adam sing the notes, yes. But you are absolutely wrong if you think Adam is "great." I could put 10 guys I know up right now against him in some local metal bands I know and their feel and artistry would kick Adam's ass right back to LA drag queen theater. He's no rocker!
I'll even tell you this, I think Allison kicked his ass all over the place and for that matter so does Chris in the artistry category! Adam is a good singer for a Scream Theater.
” Adam absolutely nailed a very tough iconic rock song. He may look weird and sing differently than the mainstream, but thats what makes him so great IMHO.

You responded to the wrong poster, but let me add my 2 cents.
Tell those 10 guys to compete next year. I don’t think they will make final 3 like Adam....
LOL! Why? They're not AI types, but really neither is Adam. I am almost ready to declare Adam will not sale as many albums as some of those which have gone home already this season. The girly-boy can sing, there is no doubt, but can he create music? I doubt it!
