Conspiracists Push 'Bilderberger' Theory
AOL ^ | March 15, 2009

March 15) - Another conspiracy theory surrounding President Barack Obama is making the rounds, according to Politico.com The latest one contends that many top officials in Obama's administration are involved in a clandestine global cabal bent on creating a one-world government that supersedes the United States. For decades, conspiracy theorists have viewed the Bilderberg group, an international organization made up of political, financial, academic and military heavyweights that comes together annually to discuss world affairs, as similar to the Trilateral Commission or the Council on Foreign Relations -- two groups comprised of influential movers and shakers who, some say, control world events from behind the scenes. And now, some in the Obama administration who have taken part in Bilderberg conferences in the past are gaining attention for their alleged involvement in a secret bid for worldwide domination.

Have you ever studied the history of the Federal Reserve?

If you haven’t, read The Creature from Jekyll Island.

I think you’ll find that the word “conspiracy” has been maligned by academe and the MSM (the same forces that malign conservatives and Christians) to ridicule those who think there may be some sort of a consolidated ideology driving what is happening in the world.

If you haven’t realized it, Keynes and the Fabian Socialists are kicking the snot out of us.

But I guess we better dump the idea that they had a plan (which they did and made plain to the world) down the drain with stories from the Enquirer.

Over the centuries from the patricians versus the plebeians and aristocrats versus the citizens until now, there has always been a decline in power because of the greed of the elitist....

Over the years, they (the elitist) have taken the teachings of Karl Marx and bastardized them - flipped them upside down - and are using the ideas for their own use in order to keep the citizens under their thumbs.

Barack was chosen by the Elitist to represent them, but people are already growing wise to him. Many blacks are now asking who is this man and does he really care about the black people? Does he really care about America? Or the American people in general?

America may have been ready for the first black president, but Americans were not ready for a SOCIALIST pushing such an agenda as fast and furiously as we are watching Barack do.

So yes, the Bilderburgers/CFR/Trilateralist or whatever one wishes to call them, are all over this because $180 million dollars doesn't magically drop from the sky for an unknown Kenyan politician without any experience. No wait, excuse me, Barack was a community organizer in the drug infested, gang ruled, Inner City Chicago 13th Ward. Silly me .... and that in itself was Barack’s Resume.

One last item - One of Barack’s advisers was Jimmy Carter's adviser - Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski - Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era - friend of and partner with David Rockefeller both founders of the Trilateral Commission.

These conferences got started before the word "networking" became popular, so it was assumed that they had to have some nefarious purpose.

Maybe they do, but since the 1950s we've gotten used to seeing politicians and executives taking off on junkets and retreats to get to know each other. We don't assume automatically that there's a hidden agenda involved as people did then.

There may be things arranged behind the scenes at these gatherings or the sessions may set a tone that those present pick up on, but it's unlikely that all 100 or so attendees would be given their marching orders there by the speakers or organizers.

This is the only “conspiracy” I believe in.

Worldwide, Communists, Marxists, Socialists outnumber freedom loving Patriotic Americans, of this there is no doubt.

Now you may ask how is it that forced that oppose the American Ideal have managed to claim the top positions in the Media, Entertainment and largely control the Mass Media/Pop Culture propaganda machine?

It has been a systematic effort which began on a large scale in the universities since as far back as the 1920’s (Google “Attitude Channeling And Brainwashing”)

We see the results all around us, you’re not in the “club” until you buy into left wing thought. We see all the weak willed “Republicans” and “Conservatives” craving acceptance more than adhering to any principle.

The need for acceptance is strong, the “penalty” of non-conformity is ridicule, one of man’s greatest innermost fears.

That some of these “elite” would like a fairy tale One World Government whereby mankind is transformed into a hand-holding collective living in peace and unity, riding pink Unicorns through a butterscotch forest is just a by-product of buying into left wing thought and taking it to the extreme.

William F. Buckley was a very intelligent man, and I enjoyed his writing. But he was wrong to marginalize the JBS.

I beg to disagree. What we've seen from the 60's onward is a "slow march through the (educational) institutions" by progressives: first, higher ed, and more recently, K-12, producing a steady deterioration in critical thinking, and as a result, acolytes for socialism.

It may be comforting to believe that there's a higher power out there -- the Bilderbergers or whatever -- against which we've been powerless victims --  that has engineered all this, because that conveniently absolves all those who somehow didn't notice what was happening -- but does it?

Wasn't that Buckley's original point -- standing athwart history and yelling "Stop!" -- a point that somehow got forgotten in the glow of the prosperous post-Reagan era?

I was looking for hotels in Washington DC using Google maps, and there was an “unverified listing” for a “Hotel de Bilderberg” at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Someone had fun.

LMAO

I'm not sure what your point is.

There are two issues being discussed here. One is whether or not the right-wingers who claim there is an international and cross-generational push toward a global agenda have any merit. The other is Buckley's reaction (and marginalizing of the JBS).

My point was and is this: The lunatic fringe of the Left is doing a wonderful job of dragging America kicking and screaming toward socialism. They got THE most liberal member of the senate (and a radical leftist) in the WH. That radical is now driving us full-throttle toward full-blown socialism.

The GOP is caught in the drag created by the speed the DNC and the Left are moving toward socialism. Rather than get out of that drag altogether, they are trying to guide their course in that same direction.

Buckley and the mainstream of the GOP THEN is doing what the GOP and RINOs are doing now: they are marginalizing and even ridiculing those who are saying, “ALL of you are betraying our Founding Fathers and destroying the liberty and sovereignty they forged and bequeathed to us.”

Say what you want about Buckley, he ridiculed the JBS. But in 2009, looking at only the past 50 days and what most likely lies ahead over the next few years, the JBS was far more accurate in their “lunatic ravings” than Buckley was in all his well-reasoned conservatism.

Don't get me wrong, as I said, I admire Buckley's writings. But while we wax philosophical in our elegant arguments, the globalists have unleashed a bunch of mongrels on us who are herding us toward globalism, which probably will not resemble the communist or socialist States we have had nightmares about. It will probably resemble the vision of another lunatic fringe nut case who left us a glimpse of that possible future in a book entitled “1984.”

If you listen to a lunatic for a long enough period of time, eventually he'll say something that rings true. Doesn't make him less of a lunatic.

Heard a good one the other day.

When the citizens of a Country become complacent (sheeple?) it is much easier for the Govt. Leaders to enslave them.
(or something close to that)

My point is that conspiracy theories, such as the Bilderbergers, etc., always point to something above and beyond our control.

When you say "The lunatic fringe of the Left is doing a wonderful job of dragging America kicking and screaming toward socialism," I'd say they've been doing that for quite some time. "We" haven't been kicking and screaming, we've been ignoring it. It didn't happen overnight, as evidenced, for instance, by the Congressional Progressive Caucus (established 1991).

They got THE most liberal member of the senate (and a radical leftist) in the WH. That radical is now driving us full-throttle toward full-blown socialism.

Under the circumstances, it was simply a matter of time.

If you are implying that I voted for Obama, you are sorely mistaken.

Good grief.

The common denominator in conpiracy theories, it seems to me, is believing that everyone has an evil motive in opposing the theory.

You've just illustrated the point.
