Bristol Palin Denies 'White Trash' Claim In Split With Fiancé Levi Johnston (MSM Barf)
The London Times ^ | 3/12/09 | Tim Reid

Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter angrily denounced reports today that she was to blame for breaking up with the father of her two-month-old son.

Bristol Palin, the daughter of last year’s controversial Republican vice-presidential candidate, responded after it emerged that she and her fiancé, Levi Johnston, had split up.

The story first emerged in the tabloid Star magazine, which quoted Mr Johnston’s sister Mercedes saying that Ms Palin and her mother were to blame for the break-up. The couple had been due to marry this summer.

“Levi tries to see Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible,” Mercedes Johnston is quoted as saying.

“She tells him he can’t take the baby to our house because she doesn’t want him around ‘white trash’. The worst part, Ms Johnston tells the magazine, is that Governor Palin supports her daughter’s treatment of Mr Johnston.

Ms Palin said in a statement issued through her mother’s political action committee that she was devastated by the report in Star. “Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do things to ‘cash in’ on the Palin name. Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth.”

There ARE other options besides to abstinence and abortion!

Yes, birth control, which I understand failed in Sarah's case. If you have information to the contrary, feel free to provide it.

Conservatives generally refrain from personal attacks...that is if they have the maturity to engage in an intellectual discussion.

Hey numbnuts...is the following statement by you...a sign of maturity and intellect? ROFLOL!!

Perhaps if Sarah had been paying attention to her family instead of trying to run a state her little tramp wouldn't have gotten preggers.

Of course. So what's your point as regards Sarah having a baby at that age? You seem to be criticizing her - on what basis? And specifically, what SHOULD she have done?
Umm...gee...let's see...ummm...maybe like avoided getting pregnant. Lack of proper caution and care. Believe it or not, it is possible to avoid getting pregnant. Honest, millions of women over 40 avoid it every day.
Excuses for what? I only asked what you thought she should have done about her pregnancy and about Bristol's, and I've challenged you to use your head and realize that kids don't always do what they have been taught.
First you instill proper values in your child. You create an atmosphere in which the child feels comfortable coming to you for advice. You place restrictions on your child..."where are you going?"...who are you going with?...what time will you be home?...where can I reach you?

Lastly you have a shotgun wedding if you must. The child's interest becomes paramount once the "accident" happens and the child is always better off growing up with two parents.
What other 'poor judgment' has she exhibited besides these two things, which you haven't really justified as being disqualifications for the Presidency?
If placing your priorities in the wrong order isn't enough, how about allowing herself to be nominated for vice president when she was clearly unprepared. Her understanding of national issues was, and has proven to be, quite provencial. She was completely unprepared for the job. Her pitiful performance in her interviews illustrate her lack of preparedness. She is superficial and lacking in the depth I require in an individual I would choose for president.

She offered no more than Obama did...and that is not enough.

As for policy matters...how about her placing an "windfall profits tax" on the oil companies in Alaska? Isn't that something that Republicans and Conservatives have opposed for decades? Taxing a corporation because they have been successful is the antithesis of Conservative principles.

This whole discussion is pointless if you don't see the answers to the first two points, because you are not conservative, or you are willingly suspending your principles to make excuses for your candidate.

Believe it or not I was quite enthusiastic in my support of Sarah Palin during the election. As I have turned my attention to her with a more discerning eye, I have become far more skeptical. I refuse to become a accolyte in the church of Sarah Palin. She fails to hold up under scrutiny.

You are particularly obtuse...I am not engaged in a debate with Bristol Palin.

You and your little army of Palinophiles are allegedly addressing your remarks to me in a debate and seem incapable of doing so without attempting to insult me.

If you didn't see that and comprehend the difference then that speaks volumes to your mentality.

Funny..that you start off your little diatribe here by insulting Palin and her family. And then you cry like a girl...when posters call you out on it.

Personally I'd like to pay Sarah Palin's airfare to what ever hole you reside in...and watch her kick your pompous, sexist, self-righteous ass.

ROFLOL!!

Pointing out the flaws in your ability to argue your point without sounding like a Liberal name caller is not "crying like a little girl."

What, are you five? Your entire argument seems to be..."nah, nah, your a jerk" (and of course worse) as your ilk have always been forced to resort to.

"Sexist?" Because I question Sarah Palin's judgment? You have to be a Liberal...you certainly are at home using their [non]argument technique. You merely continue to demonstrate your complete inability to articulate any defense for your belief. Come back and play when you formulate some smidgen of intelligent, cogent argument, or even an irrelevant response beyond an ad hominem attack.

Gloating when you have been spanked thoroughly is not a sign of intelligence.

"ROFLOL"

And you call your attack on the Palin's...what? You have deserved every post here that was against your personal attacks on the Palin's.

Yeah,...you are a sexist, pompous, ass-hole. I had that pegged from the get-go...

What's funny is you agree that you are actually an A-Hole....and I think you also call yourself a slut too. That's just great.....and it fits to a "T"...Yet you lecture others on their behavior....!! LOL!!

You are a real piece of work......but I actually feel sorry for you. Your personal life must be hell....

Umm...gee...let's see...ummm...maybe like avoided getting pregnant. Lack of proper caution and care.

My understanding is that Sarah was using birth control and it failed. So unless you have some information to the contrary, your 'solution' is bogus. The only other alternatives would have been for her to stop having sex with her husband or have an abortion once she got pregnant. So which is it?

First you instill proper values in your child.

You obviously don't have children since you clearly think kids are always going to do what you've taught them to do. Perhaps if you ever have children, you'll get a clue on that.

You create an atmosphere in which the child feels comfortable coming to you for advice. You place restrictions on your child..."where are you going?"...who are you going with?...what time will you be home?...where can I reach you?

What is your evidence that Sarah did not do that? None of course. Kids can go screw up no matter how many 'restrictions' you place on them (short of locking them in a cage, of course - but perhaps that's what you would do).

Lastly you have a shotgun wedding if you must.

It takes both sets of parents to agree on that, so how would you propose that Sarah force that to occur? How would she then force Bristol to stay married? Or would divorce after a few months or years be acceptable to you?

She offered no more than Obama did.

We certainly disagree on that.

As for policy matters...how about her placing an "windfall profits tax" on the oil companies in Alaska?

I would certainly not approve that on a national level. I would have to study it more to comment on how it was done in Alaska specifically. But. . .are you in favor of states' rights? I know that Sarah is.

This whole discussion is pointless if you don't see the answers to the first two points, because you are not conservative, or you are willingly suspending your principles to make excuses for your candidate.

LOL So I'm not conservative because I don't condemn a married woman over 40 who happens to get pregnant? I'm not conservative because I'm happy she carried the baby to term instead of aborting it? I'm not conservative because I know that children do not always do what they taught? I'm not conservative because I'm happy Bristol carried her baby to term instead of aborting it? I'm not conservative because I know one cannot force a 'shotgun' wedding without the buy in of the other set of parents? I'm not conservative because I know it would not be wise to force my child into marriage?

In that case, I'm proud not to be a 'conservative' as you define it.

She showed poor judgment in allowing herself to get pregnant after the age of 40 when the risk of giving birth to a Down's Syndrome baby is far greater.

Yeah. Better she should sneak away and have a abortion rather give life to a less than prefect child.

What a credit to her pro life stance.

And don't give me the speech about contraceptives. They all have a failure rate.
