As a boy, Harrison Tyler (chemical engineering '51) never gave much thought to his grandfather, John Tyler, the 10th president of the United States. "I grew up during World War II," he told Subaru Drive Magazine in 2002, "and surviving the war and the shortages was what was on everybody's mind. Being related to a president was never a thought."

Not the great-grandson of (1841) John Tyler, or the great-great grandson, or great-great-great ... but THE grandson of a President who possibly spoke directly with our Founding Fathers!
President John Tyler died in 1862, and had 15 children.
He was only one of three US Presidents to be married while in office. I just love this history stuff.

I can certainly see the family resemblance, especially from the nose down. Cover their eyes and the resemblance will really pop.
