This morning, just as the sun was peeking over the mountain, I opened the window slats at my kitchen window.
There, not four feet from the house, were 14 javelina, eating spilled seed under the bird feeders!
I know the picture is not too clear - but it had to be taken through screen - because of the glare on the window.
At least this will give you an idea what kind of critters we have to deal with, up here in the high desert.

That’s 14 more Javelina than what I saw all weekend long out near Florence.
I must be doing something wrong...
Anyway, I love your spectacular views, yorkie. Honest, one of these days we’re going to come back for another visit.

Great picture, Yorkie.
It is amazing that they come right up to your house. Thank you for sharing the picture. It was nice to see the type of wildlife that is in your area.
Happy Thursday. Have a Terrific Musical Day.

That wouldn't be the ONLY reason I'd be taking that picture through the screen!

Wow, just now seeing the photo of your javelina. What a sight, with 14 of them in your yard! Do they do much damage to your plants, or do they mostly just eat the bird seed?
