I wish we could actually embed the video on the thread, but John won’t allow that. So, I did the next best thing. Is that what you meant by a “live link”?

Thanks Meg. The pain is not so bad that I can’t walk now. I had to use a walker for three weeks, and it got better with Ibuprophin. It just hurts now, from my hip to my ankle, but especially in the back of my knee where the tendons connect to the bones. I’m going to go to some kind of doctor before long. I have way too much to do to be hopping around. I don’t do physical problems very well. I want to keep going.

You are so sweet. I love the picture anyway. As I said, I didn’t think the link would work, but realized that it would when it came up red. I have a DVD of the show that had this number in it. It is a wonderful video. I love Irish music, and their voices are so clear. The little fiddle player is a show-stopper too.

Gooodness, Nan..that sounds bad..Perhaps your family physician can guide you to the right specialist.....so much is connected..it even might be something wrong in your back.
Take care of yourself..I know that’s not appealing, as taking care of others is what you do so well...but sometimes we are compelled.
I pray for solutions and comfort for you.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY
"The Lord is the stronghold of my life." Psalms 27:1
Last Summer I had the privilege of visiting the beautiful country of Ireland. It's one of the prettiest places I've ever seen. As beautiful as the scenery is, that is only topped by its people; they are kind, friendly and happy. It was one of the best trips I've ever had, even when I was hanging upside down, at great height, to kiss the Blarney Stone. To walk on the same land as Saint Patrick, and to see what he saw, causes a longing in me to go back someday. Saint Patrick was the patron saint of Ireland. Born in Britain of a Romanized family, he was captured at the age of 16 by Irish raiders, and carried into slavery in Ireland. He spent six years as a herdsman, before escaping from his master and being reunited with his family in Britain. Called in a dream to bring Christianity to the Irish, he returned to Ireland and journeyed far and wide, baptizing chiefs and kings and converting entire clans. One popular legend says that he explained the notion of the Holy Trinity using the shamrock, now the national flower of Ireland. He is also said to have rid Ireland of snakes. Many, today, are wearing green, celebrating with the Irish. Today, we are celebrating what real faith can do in one man's or woman's life. On this St. Patrick's Day, what are you called in a dream to do? God gives you a go-green-light to proceed ahead in faith. Like St. Patrick, you are not locked in by circumstances. You are no longer a slave to your past. Like St. Patrick, you are not vindictive or unforgiving to people that have treated you wrongly. You rise in your spirituality and decide to help them. You pray for everyone that has enslaved you, in any way, during your life. When you are able to pray instead of hate, you rid your own mind and life of the snakes of negativity. Like Saint Patrick, you release from your thinking any limitations that you have consciously or unconsciously accepted for yourself. As you think about the infinite strength of God, you feel new wholeness and energy throughout your being, because, like Saint Patrick, you know that you are one with God. On this St. Patrick's Day, the positive life-giving activity of God is now expressed through you. You know that, in God, you have strength to overcome any condition or habit that has enslaved you. As you rely on God, you feel God's healing strength in your body and life. You feel new strength of purpose on this day of faith. God-inspired ideas are revealed to you in your dreams about your future. Opportunities for constructive activity are now opened up to you. Like Saint Patrick, you are ready to meet the challenges of every day. No matter what decision may be necessary, no matter what wisdom or understanding you may need, you know that in all things, the Lord is your strength. On this St. Patrick's Day, you celebrate by releasing from your thinking any limitations that you may have accepted about yourself, and you continue the celebration by releasing from your thinking any limitations that you may have accepted about others. You see yourself as strong and ready to do great things, through the power of God. You also see others as strong and ready to do great things, through the power of God within them. I wish you a very happy St. Patrick's Day. I pray that every time you see the color green, today, that you remember and recall that God is giving you a go-green-light to proceed in faith and with God's help.

God Bless You!
Make it a GREAT day!

(Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me)
To: jaycee

The beautiful prayer of St. Patrick, popularly known as “St. Patrick's Breast-Plate”, is supposed to have been composed by him in preparation for this victory over Paganism. (The following is a (partial) literal translation from the old Irish text:)
I bind to myself today
The power of Heaven,
The light of the sun,
The brightness of the moon,
The splendour of fire,
The flashing of lightning,
The swiftness of wind,
The depth of sea,
The stability of earth,
The compactness of rocks.
I bind to myself today
God's Power to guide me,
God's Might to uphold me,
God's Wisdom to teach me,
God's Eye to watch over me,
God's Ear to hear me,
God's Word to give me speech,
God's Hand to guide me,
God's Way to lie before me,
God's Shield to shelter me,
God's Host to secure me...
(Snip)
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ at my right, Christ at my left,
Christ in the fort,
Christ in the chariot seat,
Christ in the poop [deck],
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

Glad to hear that you have work Rus. Thanks for forming a tea party too. WV is having one in Charleston on April 15.
I said I was going, but it’s going to be difficult. Our annual Chamber of Commerce banquet is that night and the Governor is going to be the speaker. I hate to miss that. I’ve met him before and I welcome the chance to tell him how much I appreciate the job he is doing (for a democrat). I think I can make it to the capitol and back before the dinner. As it is, I will have to change my Bible Study from Wed. night to Tuesday night. Oh well. I’ll work something out. I hope you have a big turnout in Buffalo.

I have sort of suspected a nerve in my back, so I’m inclined to start with the chiropractor. Most of the doctors now are too prone to want to replace the knee.
