An Indiana county municipal official in the vicinity of Chicago reveals the contents of his meetings with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security. The initial requests seem reasonable enough when FEMA asks the county officials to prepare a Hazard Mitigation Plan to deal with flooding, fires, high winds and tornadoes.
But as the required meetings and calls with FEMA and DHS continue over a two year period their request become more unusual, raising suspicions of county officials

the audio
“The county should prepare a plan to vaccinate the entire population within 48 hours”
Yea, that’s gonna happen.
I agree and I'd be disappointed if this isn't going on nationwide.
As hard as it is to comprehend, a major metropolitian area will be hit with a massive terrorist attack...some day.
Now is the time to prepare.
We are also talking about the management of very large groups of people in the event of the outbreak of bird flu or other contagious diseases as well as nuclear or chemical attack.
Most people d/n realize that this country is not really well prepared for a massive health care crisis. Hospitals, health care agencies, police, military, etc have been planning for massive health care problems since 9/12.
In the aftermath of any sort of outbreak or attack there will be rationing of vaccines/health care availability. That rationing factor alone will be enough to induce civil unrest on top of the difficulties of other shortages. There are already protocols in place as to who will be receiving scarce vaccines, medications or use of scarce equipment like ventilators. These protocols include occupations and age groups.
This is true and I already know I'm not on the list.
When I was a kid in NYC (1948), I remember seeing garbage trucks with the “CD” (Civilian Defense) logo on them, and even then wondered what they had to do with the situation. Mind you, this was in the naive pre-ICBM days when we were supposed to have HOURS warning of incoming enemy bombers.
Years later I read where the trucks were to be used for carting off the dead from a nuclear attack. Naive days indeed.
True. But I am far more worried about something else than terror attacks.
We wake up some weekday and the banks simply don’t open, and no ATM’s work.
There is only 3-5 days worth of food in the pipeline at any one time. And probably less than that for gas and diesel.
Within a week, a hundred million zombies would be on the loose. And sad to say, many FReepers would be amongst them.
The Jericho scenario?
I am prepared for that.
Do not take the vaccines! Do not take the vaccines! Terramycin (poultry antibiotic) will clear up anthrax. They will not mass produce vaccine for spanish flu. I would not trust the vaccines.
Nuke attacks are probably the last thing we should fear, terrorist attacks are much more real, but before any of that happens, you are 100% right. It is going to be a zombie shoot. You say stock up on canned goods? I say stock up on ammunition, because with that you can get to keep all the your canned goods.
See my post #8 on this thread.
I just bought 48 more old US silver (90%) dollars friday for $12.50 each.
Really? Does it cover weaponized anthrax?
Still, this sounds like standard contingency planning. It's remarkably like the stuff we had to do for our buildings all over the country way back in 2002 (in response to the 9/11 and anthrax attacks).
There was resistance to including contingency planning for tornadoes. Then, one afternoon, we had one rip through the area and the next day we met and the "powers that be" thought it was an excellent idea to have a contingency plan for tornadoes.
We had a Mass Graves thing but there were instructions for groups like ours to skip over that since we didn't have a bobcat!
I agree silver is the way to go.
If goods become scarce, people buying with silver and gold will go to the front of the line.
But “scarce goods” means you will be buying small amounts at a time, so gold almost makes no sense, the seller can’t/won’t make change and you end up paying a huge premium.
Cool! That is so sick! ...can’t wait!

I have 'laid-in' a large supply of coffee, chocolate and some sugar as barter too.
Bahawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I never said stock up on canned goods and ignore the ammunition.
I got that part covered.
But I, like alot of people, would prefer that when I finally do go to my grave, I do it without killing someone.
But necessity is necessity. Bargaining can work, coercion can work, and yes, killing can work.
This is doomsday scenario stuff here. Don’t know if you ever read “The Turner Diaries”, but it’s some pretty scary sh*t.
