And since this super secret (that everyone with eyes can observe) government program is dropping tangible “strands” all over populated areas, I’m sure people have collected some for analysis. Or maybe to use as packing material during Christmas season. So let’s see some picture of those.

They ARE vapor trails. I fly an airliner and they are called contrails also. They occur naturaly depending on the moisture content of the air. Sometimes you can see them on takeoff and landings when the air is thick.

You are right, I often see them side by side, there is a difference. Eventually, the entire sky is covered in plane made clouds on an almost daily basis

I live in the Upstate of SC...we see these on a daily basis and it seems on some days there are double and triple the norm of these. They are so noticeable that a local talk show host even mentions them from time and time and speculates on their purpose.

We were at a neighborhood outdoor cookout one night, summer evening, clear skies. The guy who lives next door to us used to be in the air force, flew fighter planes. Out of no where he cocks his head to one side and asked everyone to be quiet. Maybe 1 minute later he said "You see 'um?"...trails at night and we asked him what those were, that we see these things all the time. He said, "They're flying them again."...all he would say. It kind of stuck with me but he never did really say much about it. But we always notice them and wonder why there are so many in the skies over our area.

I live about 70 miles out from Detroit. Some days I can see a dozen jets at one time plus contrails from others. Mostly I don’t like looking at contrails because they screw up an otherwise good photograph.

I’m kind of a conservative environmentalist myself. No pesticides here. I let the snakes, frogs, toads, bats and birds keep most insects at managable levels. I’ve found that a little boric acid in sugar water keeps the ants in check. My big problem is japanese beetles but I like picking those by hand and feeding them to the bluegills along the shoreline.

If you’re seeing 2 different ones side by side it’s probably a matter of age, you’ve got still air conditions and one trail that happened an hour ago and one that happend 5 minutes ago.

And/or the 'side by side' proximity is an illusion, and one is actually a mile higher than the other in a layer with different conditions.

At high altitudes with extreme cold temperatures....yes, contrails will spread out for 10s and seemingly 100s of miles........especially if there’s a temperature front.

......and they will join with other contrails in high traffic areas.

Persistance and spread of the trail depends on the conditions at that particular altitude....which is why sometimes there aren’t any, sometimes they are short-lasting, sometimes long-lasting....

It’s all dependent on the temperature and humidity up there....and the number of planes flying in the same corridor.

I often see this, a chemtrail (not contrail) where certain particles are strewn in a different direction because of their weight difference But like I said, eventually, the sky turns pure white which chemtrails, they are not water vapor and they can blanket and block out the sun over areas statewide, and is often the case by the end of the day.

You’d think between the economy and the REAL conspiracy to manipulate it, we wouldn’t need fake space monster hoaxes and foaming over chemtrails to keep us entertained.

Thanks, I thought of that one after the post. People do need to remember the atmosphere has layers. Very often in Tucson we'll have dead air on the ground (and I do mean dead, it actually can be stuffy outdoors here) and you'll look up and see a cloud booking across the sky. Somewhere in between you and the cloud there's a layer (maybe more than one) and a contrail left on your side will hang for a long time while a trail left on the other side will dissipate very quickly.

So in all those pictures you posted, are we to assume all the contrails were formed at the same time? By the same type of aircraft? At the same altitude?
Or could it be that the winds at various altitudes are significantly different (vary by over 100 miles per hour within a few thousand feet) and impact the dissipation of the contrails in different ways over time resulting in a wide variety of patterns.
For example, in the picture labelled “Chemtrail” and “Contrail”, when were both formed? At what altitude was each formed? What type of aircraft formed each trail? Without that information, that picture is useless. But then...so is this entire discussion.
