Fired off a strong letter to one of our senators, Herb Kohl about the stinulus package. Russ Feingold, our other senator, is so far over the edge it wouldn't do diddly squat to ask him to change his vote on the stimulus vote.
Reading yesterday that millions are earmarked for new construction for Milwaukee Public School System, even though there is declining enrollment, empty buildings, and no plans to build new buildings. Good grief!!!

We have an Esto Vir conference for men coming up at the end of February that I will be going to as well.
It's a Catholic Men's Conference. I wasn't able to make it last year due to other obligations but plan on going at the end of the month.
It is heartening to see hundreds of committed men spending time reading, reflecting, listening, and then participating in Mass at the end of the day.
Reminds me of my service days when we went to chapel.
