Watching CSPAN for a while today, I saw the Senator from Nebraska, and was mightily impressed. He’s a newbie. Gave a great speech against the piece of horrific debt they are discussing. I wish someone had been listening to him.

I think we are supposed to get rain on Monday or possibly a mix of sleet and rain. We have 15 inches of snow on the ground yet. The last couple days have been in the 30’s and that was a nice change from this really cold winter we’ve been having.

Did you read Obama’s “Dreams from my Father”? I did and thought it was very revealing of what type of person he is. It frightened me to think he could have a chance of becoming president. But now he is and all we can do is pray that he doesn’t do too much damage. I am happy to see the Republicans standing up to him, I hope it continues.

The day started great. I jumped up, got dressed, put on my glasses, grabbed my teeth and phone off the night stand, shoved my teeth in my pocket and my phone in my mouth.

I want a do-over for the entire day.

No late shift. The day started like that about 14 hours ago, and most of it was like that, most of the day.

I'll do better tomorrow. I just won't get out of bed. ;)

There were a few bright spots... One of my urban youth semi-pro football players actually showed up for books I had promised him, also to help move a car that I'm working on. And my special friend drove him because (I think) she loves me (I'm not caving, single works for me).....

Anyway... before we moved the car and opened the garage, the goats had to be put up (Frenchy is out of town and I've got goat duty again).

Big urban yute feetball player was scared of baby goats. LOL! They weigh about 35-50 lbs.

We worked through that....

Hi Mary!

I didn't read Dreams of my Fathers, but have heard enough about it to know what kind of guy we're dealing with at the moment.

Sometimes I despair, but then I realize America has gone through rougher things than this. God will not abandon us as long as we don't abandon him.

It's in the thirties at the moment and it feels very spring like compared to what we have been getting. We too have about a foot of snow on the ground, but it's slowly melting.
