Thanks, Meg. I haven’t even tried to answer posts on the January thread since Thursday, but it’s nice to ‘start anew’ today on this fresh new thread. :)

Today we celebrate the Ivory Gull arriving in Massachusetts. First time it's been seen so far south since 1880.

I can never catch up once behind..and rarely try. I am finally over the “rocks in my head” siege and am almost back to normal sleeping hours.....almost.
I hate living out of a suitcase, too.

Thank you for the Brule recommendation. I certainly shall look it up.
My favorite Native American music is played by R. Carlos Nakai on flute. When I moved to Arizona, and was traveling accross the desert, radio on, I had to stop my car and listen to his music, it touched me so deeply. I now have several of his CDs, and find them so inspiring.
Here is one, called Winter Solstice Art:

Thanks, Jaycee. Will look for your FR mail - time for lunch here, so will be back later. We’re going to ‘dinner’ with friends about 5, but not Super Bowl related! LOL!

Thank you Billie.
Lindy seems to be doing a little better - she still falls a lot, and I can tell it is extremely difficult for her to get around, but I am listening to my FReeper friends, and trying not to ‘baby’ her.
This morning was the first time she showed any interest in her stuffed animal toy, since her hind legs ‘went out’. I tossed it a couple feet for her, and she was in 7th heaven!
She is a brave lil gal, and quite an inspiration.

LJ, your beautiful picture inspired me to do a little search on the Ivory Gull. Here is a map I found, of their range:

Wow! They are a long way from their 'home'.

I would like to travel to somewhere very warm and very sunny and had that great big OCEAN roaring in and out and I could lay back and relax, maybe with a margarita or two or three...and someone was always delivering delicious things on a tray...now is that asking for too much? Wanna go?

I would have not known that babying her could really keep her from improving..and feeling good about herself..I love having internet friends who have been there or can share knowledge..
I am so glad Lindy shows a bit of improvement.
