Bless her heart, why can’t she can stand up straight? Her posture is horrible. Maybe she’s taller than he is if she does. She’ll never be accused of being too graceful or elegant I’m afraid.
As far as her choice of a dress for this occasion, it’s just out of place at the National Cathedral. Way too informal, and looks like an ugly example of a cotton summer frock.

Oh, this has been a fun thread to browse all the way through.
I actually did love her makeup at the coronation. Her eyes looked great! And I liked the color of the heavy outfit she had on. Did not however, like the color of the shoes nor the gloves.
I don't approve of bra straps showing, but it appears to be a “trend”. Trends were not tolerated in my mother's home. Classics, manners and quiet decorum were the only tolerated styles and behavior. Appropriate leave taking — especially on the part of children — was demanded. I spend half my time these days trying to figure out who is in the house or where they've gone. I wander around like a dolt going, “Hello? Anybody still here???”
Oh, and you only made a figure 8 in that teacup, you didn't stir as though you were making fudge. ;-) You dressed for dinner, learned how to direct the meal to set your guests at ease. Those days are long gone, my dear friends.
I guess it's all okay, but I have so much “stuff” that isn't used anymore. My son's fiancee says, “it's like walking through the doors and going back 20 years” — I hate to tell her, but it's more like 100. ;-)
Here’s another one to add, please! Hey, we’ve all been there, but it makes you wonder who’s advising her.

Me, too. They are adorable and a credit to whoever is responsible for their behavior. Outstanding! I hope they stay that way. They are a delight.
Make up and hair were great. Some comments were made on TV this am about her not having an updo, but I think that would make her look even taller (I think her height realative to the Bamster’s makes her slouch...so hair down was a good idea). I liked the earrings she wore last night also. The actual color of the daytime ensemble was ‘lemongrass.’ The ‘crayon green’ shoes/gloves sorta thru that color ‘off.’
Truly Victorian elegance. I think sachet and happy thoughts.
