LOL, who’d a thought that Janet Reno could out fashion MO?
add me 2 pls.
I’ve long thought that Hillary felt once she was in power in the Senate, she would just take charge and not be judged because she was a woman. I think she’s learned it doesn’t work that way, ever. No matter how much she does or leads, she’s still “just a girl” and is going to be viewed for her appearance. Can you even imagine a woman who looked like Fat Ted the Swimmer being in Congress?
Oh, please add me, GOP_Lady!
You are added, ichabod1! :-)
I knew a girl when I was first working who was actually quite pretty, but her daddy was a very tall, big boned man and there was no question that he was her daddy!
Slouching around with her toes together and trying to shrink into herself did nothing to make her look smaller, and it made her look very unattractive and unprofessional. Same goes for Michelle.
Her fashion sense is pretty much nonexistent, but a lot of her problems would be solved instantly if she would just stand up straight and smile, for Pete's sake!
A slight heel on the shoes and a more put-together look would help too, but posture and poise have to come first. In her present state a good Chanel suit would look bad on her.
will you please add me to your fashion disaster list?
Not appropriate at all. The woman has no sense of fashion and etiquette.
Not a chance. Michelle Obama's primary fashion difficulty is her very broad shoulders. She's got an amazon build. There's just no way she'll ever achieve a "feminine" look.
I was only half kidding when I said above that she'd look great in armor: she probably would, just as Venus and Serena Williams would.
There are probably a lot of designers out there who can make amazons look good. Unfortunately for her, the ones who can, are probably not politically connected or "Hollywood" enough to get the nod.
That's her main problem, in fact: there are such intense political overtones in everything related to Obama, that it's just not possible to go for the fashion unknowns who could make her look good. It's more important politically to drape her in big-name designs.
Just a reminder, since we’re going to have so much fun with this thread over the next 4 years, please donate to FR!
My2cents -- the dress looks nice on her, but it is totally inappropriate for the National Cathedral on what is a solemn occasion. It is wrong for the season too. That is a summer frock and similar to one I had 22 years ago that is more appropriate to wear for sipping mint juleps on the verandah.
She needed to wear what we used to call "wool dress and heels" back in my sorority days, or "dressy suit". SHe should have had long sleeves and a high neckline for church.
And will someone please tell her that she should put her hand over her heart when singing the Natl. Anthem. And if she can't sing, she should learn to mouth the words. (I watched the video over at the Wash. Post. Disgraceful.) Only Hillary and Obama put their hands over their hearts. THe Bidens, Michelle, and Bill Clinton didn't bother.
Please add me to your list.
Thank you kindly.
....If you wrong, they certainly don't like her so they dress her to look frumpy!
OKAY---You owe me a keyboard!!!!!!
You are added, afraidfortherepublic! :-)
As a huge "fashion don't" myself, I'm sure if I found one style which made me look nice and professional, I'd cling to it for the rest of my life. It would be terribly hard to experiment or take risks knowing that I was on the verge of being photographed every moment.
My thoughts exactly. She has worked in the professional world, and she should know how to dress appropriately for specific occasions. She needs a fashion consultant.
It looks like a Rorschach Inkblot Test.
You are added, Portrait of a Lady! :-)
