Have already vowed - no TV this week (oops - except for “24”, “Top Chef”,and HGTV) and definitely no FOX - hope to stick by this for as long as I can - shooting for 3 1/2 years!

I blacked out all news till wed.

Oh, I don’t know, watching O take the oath in a snowstorm might be kind of entertaining. Especially if, as he raises his right hand, there is a giant ZOT, in the form of an unsual, but not unheard of in a snowstorm, bolt of lighting.

DVD movie fest all day for us tomorrow, and the "House" marathon!
It's so nice for HBO to "allow" everyone access for their coverage...
We've never subscribed before, now such a timely reminder as to why!

I am only watching these wonderful re-runs of Magnum P.I. (9:00am EST).
I haven’t watched the news since Nov P.M.....whatever.
But then...The good news was McNut lost. The bad news was Obama may have won.
To: Ancient Drive
I will be watching 24, also. I have found that you can see lots of programs free on the internet. One site I like is Fox on Demand. It has full episodes of 24, House, Sarah Conner Chronicles, etc.

Over the weekend, I recorded many, many hours of the Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction and will be watching that instead.

TV?
There is no TV tomorrow. Just adulation and prostration before 0.
I’m planning a day long Planet of the Apes - Charlton Heston marathon. Mix in a little Ben-Hur, Omega Man and Soylent Green with the monkeys.
To: Ancient Drive
I turned off the TV on Thursday when someone on Fox News said that this is the “most historic inauguration ever”.
I can’t even imagine what the coverage looks like on the DNC propaganda networks.

Hmm. Our little terrorist scumbag buddies are making a little racket out there this evening, which is rare. These sound like Mehdi Army noises.
I cant' help but wonder if they're expressing their opinions about our upcoming regime change?

I’ll be watching some new anime from Japan’s winter season, it’s more realistic and has a tenth of the symbolism the average viewer is going to be subjected to tomorrow.
I know I am turning my back on American television but drek is drek.

Gadzook, A-Drive! I just looked...
and, by jingo, FX has back to back episodes of "Spin City," "The Bernie Mac Show" and "Malcolm in the Middle" on not to mention TBS showing "Home Improvement,' "Just Shot Me" and "Yes Dear."
Other channels have entertaining fare on rather than watching the Coronation.
But the best counter programming belongs, however tremendously ironic it may be, to Ted Turner Class Movies, they are showing, as the Oath of Office is being given, the 1957 film A Face in the Crowd: An overnight media sensation becomes the darling of the nation and is soon shown to be a demigod.
Talk about art... imitating life!
