Dirk Vander Ploeg, the Publisher of UFO Digest, recently asked me if I knew of alien abductions having been stopped by the utterance of the name of Jesus. He told me that 'apparently this information is being withheld by Mufon and other reporters, investigators etc.'
I reminded him that I had written about the possibility of such occurrences in several articles including, Extraterrestrials Tremble at the Name of Jesus, UFO Digest March 29, 2007, and more recently The Birth of Christ caused the Extraterrestrial Extraterrestrials Tremble at the Name of Jesus, UFO Digest March 29, 2007, and more recently The Birth of Christ caused the Extraterrestrial Fallen Angels to Tremble December 3, 2008.
The word of God tells us that demons (as well as fallen angels, i.e. extraterrestrials) tremble at the name of Jesus (James 2:19) because God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above all names (Philippians 2:9). At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow of those on the earth, and those under the earth and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10).
My own article last year, My Anonymous CIA Source: The Real Story of UFOs, UFO Digest, 6/16/08, revealed that my source in Washington who worked for the CIA for 25 years after working, I believe, for the top secret Operation Paperclip after WWII which brought Nazi scientists to America, some of whom were supposedly involved in flying saucer research, and who was in charge of security for President Kennedys visit to Germany in the early sixties, and was confidant to later Presidents, told me to stay with my UFO writings about the Bible. He then told me that you have the truth. All else is opinion. This statement from a man whom I trust and who served in the highest echelons.
Yeah, if one isn’t used to these kinds of attacks (in talking about things of the Bible and Jesus Christ), then they better get used to it, because it’s getting worse these days...
You were saying — “Theres contention by some that the Nephilium/fallen angels drowned in Noahs time became disembodied and thereby demons.
That the Nephilium/fallen angels running around loose in our era were not caught in the flood somehow.”
—
Okay.., as near as I can figure (and it seems somewhat confusing at times), the fallen angels were not drowned, but were imprisoned.
Their offspring, on the other hand were drowned, and this may be the disembodied spirits that want to inhabit bodies (as when Jesus cast them out of the crazy man and into the swine), as opposed to fallen angels (of which there are more fallen angels, than just the ones who participated in the cohabitation with women on earth [they were imprisoned, immediately; other fallen angels are free until judgement day]).
Any further “offspring” that showed up after the flood are a further “outbreak” of the same sin that the imprisoned angels committed before the flood, but this time by others [i.e., those who were not imprisoned, not having participated at that time in the past]. That may have been the people that the Israelites ran into when they sent out the twelve spies, and ten came back saying “no way...”. Also, that may be why Israel was commanded to kill every last man, woman and child of certain peoples — to wipe out any further contamination from those people (but they didn’t do it, totally, as God commanded).
In the time of the end, when Satan’s time comes to take control over the whole world, as under the Antichrist’s rule — then there will be another “outbreak” of the same thing that happened prior to Noah’s flood (if it’s not going on right now, under people’s noses..., which may mean that we’re “this close” to that time). And it could be that the Antichrist, himself, may be one of those kinds of “offspring” and unholy and not human..., too.

Some speculation, some facts from the Bible, and how it all fits together — I don’t know...
I thought only God, not even the Angels in Heaven, new the date and time of the end of the world?
Personally, I think we should all live our lives like Judgment Day is tomorrow, but we should still book that cruise and pay our bills.
You were saying — “I thought only God, not even the Angels in Heaven, new the date and time of the end of the world?”
Well, to clear up a few things first.... One is — that the world is not going to end. It keeps right on going. What happens is that there will be a time period called Jacob’s Trouble (or better known as the Tribulation, of 7 years) where the Antichrist is given free reign to do what he’s going to do. This is granted by God so that He can bring judgement upon the nations and the peoples of the world, at that time.
At the end of that period of time, Jesus, the Messiah of Israel returns and goes to war with the nations and peoples who have surrounded Israel and have tried to eliminate her as a nation in this world of nations. He dispenses with them, destroying those nations. Then He returns to Jerusalem to set up His worldwide Kingdom, with Him ruling and reigning from Israel, on the Throne of David. That period of time is 1,000 years. During that time Satan has been bound up and prevented from deceiving the nations, as it says in Revelation.
At the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ on this earth, there is the Great White Throne judgement, where all the unsaved dead are resurrected, judged and thrown into the lake of fire. After that time, all things are “made new” — sin and death are eliminated, all of creation is remade to eliminate the curse that God placed upon it. All things are returned to the original state of creation when God made it originally and all things were pronounced “good”.
Now..., once someone is “in the Tribulation time” the sequence of events are counted down exactly and you will know *exactly* when Jesus, the Messiah of Israel returns to earth. We’re told that it’s 1,260 days from the time that the Antichrist steps in the Temple in Jerusalem and declares himself to be God (that’s the mid-way point). Then you can count the exact days from that point in time.
What is *unknown* and that the angels don’t know the timing of — is — *when* does the Tribulation start, and also, when is the Rapture, when the Christians are “taken up” and out of this world, leaving only the usaved left behind, on this earth. That is the thing that is “unknown” as far as the exact timing. However, you *can know* the “season” that you’re in, as to whether it’s very close or not — by seeing what is happening in the world right now. As it stands, right now, it’s close — but you don’t know exactly when (to the day or hour, or year and so on...) But, once things are “moving” (in the prophetic picture), they will keep right on moving until completion. And that’s where we are right now — in that things are moving towards completion right at this very moment. Just don’t know how fast (but it will be within the lifetimes of the people who see these things happening — and we see them now).
So, the Rapture is the unknown event, along with the beginning time of the Tribulation. But, once that is done, and the Tribulation is underway — it all counts down *exactly to the day* — and you’ll know when Jesus is returning to earth. However, you don’t want to be one of those who is “left behind” on earth to face all that trouble... :-)
Quite plausible to me.
Not that it matters enormously.
Our task is to walk close to God; keep Him first and foremost; learn to hear and obey His Voice.
And to TRUST THAT HE IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH AND OF US . . . THAT HE IS FAITHFUL TO COMPLETE IN US AND WITH US THAT WHICH HE HAS BEGUN IN AND WITH US.
“The Return of the Nephilim?”
I think the flood took care of the Nephilim.
Decent summary, from my perspective.
God did seem to take great pains in describing the 2 3.5 year periods several different ways.
You said — “I think the flood took care of the Nephilim.”
Yes, it did... but — there are more fallen angels. And Satan’s time is coming, in which he’ll be granted power over the kingdoms of this world, more so than he’s had thus far. So, Jesus’ words, in that it will be similar to the time of Noah, indicates to me that we’re facing another outbreak of the same sin that the angels committed back then — but now, in the present, at the time of Antichrist...
I’ve always stopped the aliens in their attempts to abduct me through the use of numerology;
.

.45 and 12
(ga) always seem to work very well for me.
;-)
Not all of them . . . evidently.
Satan will still have some critters running around loose causing trouble during Tribulation.
So tell us . . . how many abduction attempts have you stopped.
And . . . how did you manage to get the guns to go off before the paralysis?
Amen to the last two paragraphs...

Thanks for the ping!
Oh, dozens...maybe hundreds.... After all, I live pretty close to Roswell and own some remote property VERY near to where the ‘1947 crash’ occurred.
And as to the other.... Why ‘hair triggers’... and I shoot at any movement or bright lights in the sky within a thousand yards.... unless they call ahead AND know the password.
;-)
Also remember that the angelic/human shenanigans started up again after the flood. IIRC this info is found in Numbers.
For a LOT of insight into this issue, read the Book of Enoch. It’s extra-biblical, but I think the book is afforded a lot of credibility by the fact that it’s quoted in the Bible, specifically in Jude.
The Book of Enoch goes into great detail on the angels who came to Earth and took women. Names of the leaders of the angel pack, their discussions, their eventual punishment, etc. Fascinating stuff.

Yes, indeed.... I have read Enoch (in fact a couple of versions, too) and it’s very interesting. Now, from what I see strictly from the Bible, itself, that’s quite enough to explain the very *basic* idea of what happened. And that’s sufficient, actually.
To read Enoch does give something additional, but — I would have to be careful about attributing any degree of authority to it, other than the Scriptures, themselves. It’s interesting reading, nonetheless. I just won’t use it as authoritative, that’s all. (I believe that the inclusions of certain books of the Bible are also part of the “divine inspiration” of Scripture, to the extent that I won’t take any other outside source.)
But, those other places in the Bible do indicate further “episodes” of the same, at a later time.
Oh, I absolutely agree when it comes to authority. Scripture is it and the only thing I trust unequivocally. That said, there’s a lot of interesting “what if this is true” reading available in sources like Enoch. I personally rank its credibility at perhaps 75%. The Bible is a solid 100.0%. :-)

“Not all of them . . . evidently.”
Point out in the Bible where it says it didn’t take care of all of them.
The Bible says that the world was destroyed, only Noah and his family was saved. What makes you think there were some exceptions?
