There called Ocular Headaches. The last one I has I saw a rainbow sort of like in the edge of a mirror. It was F-r-e-a-k-y!

I think I get them, too. I just never knew what it was called. I hate when I get them, I can't even be online to read with it.

I used to get migrains a lot.

OMG, It doesn't get much more moronic than the way I wrote that sentence!

I get something similar to that too. It doesn’t hurt but I can’t see well out of the affected eye for 20-30 minutes...I see spots-kind of like a strobe light. It is a really weird feeling. Most times it happens when I’m stressed. After it ends, if I haven’t taken tylenol or ibuprofen, I’ll get a headache.

Nice article about Danny in our paper - this church is not far from where I live.

FYI, today's NY POST has an interesting piece about the TOP TEN all time songs by AI stars, according to the writer, as well as by sales.

Hi Ken. Thanks for the link to the Post article. The author's choice of top 10 singles by former AI contestants is interesting. I'm really surprised he picked a Clay Aiken song for #2 over a Carrie Underwood song.

The sales are for albums, though, not singles, and those are domestic sales only. Just FYI, Kelly's album, 'Breakaway', has sold about 13 million copies worldwide as of the latest figures.

According to figures released by Sony Music, Kelly's three albums combined have sold well over 20 million copies worldwide. Her fourth album debuts tomorrow. The first single from it, 'My Life Would Suck Without You', has already gone #1 in the U.S. and UK, and is on its way to double platinum.

The Grammy-winning 'Because of You' is Kelly's biggest worldwide hit in the pop genre, and it even went #1 on the Country radio airplay charts as the first single off Reba McEntire's 'Duets' album. The duet of 'Because of You' with Kelly became Reba's 30th Top-20 country single, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It was also her 50th Top 5 single, tying her for the record with Dolly Parton among female country artists.

I don't know if these are the absolute latest figures, since albums can continue to sell for years, but you can find the top-selling American Idol alumni list by domestic sales here.

Among other things, that list clearly shows Clay Aiken's decline across the four albums he's released. His first sold 2,780,000, but his fourth sold only 160,000.

Lastly, like so many other businesses these days, the music industry has been experiencing serious sales declines over the last year or so. Last info I saw was that album sales were down over 8% from the same period last year. U2's new album debuted last week and is on track to be #1 this week with sales of around 400–450K. It is expected to fall off as much as 60% in its second week.

Just read elsewhere that Kayne West is supposed to perform on AI on Wednesday. personally, I have no idea who/what he is, but there appears to be a BIG stink about it. Why? What'd he do. I gather he's not a nice guy.

PS: Have you moved yet?

Kanye West was very outspoken against Bush. I’ll watch Kelly then change the channel when he is on.

Ken, first, it's been confirmed that Kelly Clarkson is going to appear March 11. West has also been confirmed for that show. Trust me -- I will LOVE seeing Kelly and will fast-forward over West's appearance.

Kanye West is a rapper/hip-hop "artist" (I use that word very advisedly). Here's a photo:

Like many rappers, he's essentially a dressed-up street thug. He's been involved in a number of controversies during his career. Here's a few:

In January 2006, he appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in the image of Jesus wearing a crown of thorns.

In the song "Crack Music", West rapped, "How we stop the Black Panthers?/Ronald Reagan cooked up an answer." That referred to the black/liberal conspiracy theory that the Reagan administration intentionally placed crack cocaine in the ghettos of the United States.

Demonstrating his hatred of President George W. Bush, in a 2006 live orchestral performance of "All Falls Down", West replaced "the White man gets paid off of all of that" (a reference to HIV-Aids) with "George Bush gets paid off of all of that."

On September 2, 2005, during a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina relief on NBC, West said, "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

He's been arrested a couple of times for assault and felony valdalism.

West is a total scumbag.

Luckily, I DVR the show. I'll just fast-foward over West's appearance.

BTW, among the reasons I continue to be a huge Kelly Clarkson fan is the fact that she is, almost quite literally, the anti-celebrity. Here's what she says in an interview for UK Cosmopolitan magazine (April 2009) edition:

QUESTION: You seem so normal. Have you had to really try and not to turn all 'Hollywood'?

"No, I'm the most unstarry person ever. I'm in it but I'm not consumed by it. I stand there like an idiot at red carpet events because I don't know who any celebrities are. I'm not being disrespectful, I genuinely wouldn't know a guy from Gossip Girl if I fell over him. As for always looking polished, I would rather show women that I'm a normal person. You see me on album covers? That's airbrushed, I promise you!"

Kelly can afford a mansion in Beverly Hills or New York's upper East Side, but she prefers to live in Texas.

Thanks for the info. I htought he was either the guy who taped himself having sex with underage girls, or the one who beat up his girlfriend. I obviously need a scorecard, er..mugbook

Thanks...kewl

Next week is a double-elimination, IIRC..So, with the surprise "baker's dozen" of contestant's, will there be another "double elimination, or will they extend the show an extra week? Hmmm?

Ugh ... I don’t understand how they can have West and Kelly Clarkson performing on the same show. Maybe West’s part will be brief and forgettable, like Leona Lewis’ performance last season.
