He sings Tonic's "If You Could Only See"
He's surprisingly good. There's a smooth quality to his voice.
Simon: I really like you. But I absolutely hated that song. I'm really furstrated. Boring. Didn't suit you. I don't think you did yourself any favors whatsoever. I wanted you to do well.
Randy: Great song, but the performance was so boring. You need something more exciting. I like you, man. Very cool guy.
Kara: We all like you, Matt. Problem is, this didn't show any side of you. Flat. You can really sing too. Poor song choice.
Paula: You put your whole guts, your whole soul into that. Just wasn't the right choice.
I didn't think it was as bad as the judges made it out to be.

They need to pick older songs that aren’t so recognizable. Or sing a popular song that the opposite gender sang. Like Carrie singing “I told you so”. Just my two cents!
