Next Tuesday (the 24th) is when the messiah crashes our party :-/
Thanks for the reminder! I will find a good book to read and go to bed early. :/

I loved the blond girls!!!! I also liked the family that played Blue Grass. My all time favorite Andy Griffith was when Barney had to pretend to be the bride and wore the dress. I love it.

1. Paula seems more like she is imbibing Xanax instead of rum. Maybe. The lab results are inconclusive :)
2. I still think Paula is hot...
Me too, LOL. Inebriated Paula is hotter than Lucid Paula.

Danny Gokey--I have to agree with Simon. I don't get the hype.
His voice seems pretty average for this competition.

some people just have a bad night but are still good singers. this allows no room for that which seems a tad unfair. I know. It's like whoever wins the first game of the World Series wins the whole series.
Somebody posted a graph last week that showed who the top vote-getters were during the semi-finals in past seasons. Going by Idol's new rules, Chris Daughtry wouldn't have made the cut. Taylor Hicks and Elliott Yamin both received more votes (according to the graph) and that would have left Daughtry out.

Hi, Palladin :)
Is Vote For The Worst voting for Tatiana yet?
I would be surprised if they're not, LOL

Hi :)
Tatianas laugh still weirds me out.
Me too. But what weirds me out even more is "calm Tatiana". It's eerie, like being in the eye of a hurricane.

This biggest disappointment of the night for me was Anne Marie. I wanted to like her, but she just wasn't that good.
Same for Jackie Tohn. She has a future as a TV host of some kind, if singing doesn't work out.

I believe Carole King wrote it, and put out a good version of it herself, actually: a very hippie woman 60s version that really did work. But it should be BANNED from American Idol forever!
Tapestry -- good call and I stand corrected. OK -- Carole King and Aretha ONLY!
The contestants can do the ketchup song... ;)

if a cute, fun blond was after Barney, he'd let himself be caught?Well kinda-sorta ... It was Barney's fault that the Fun Girls even came into their lives. But they were "wild", by Mayberry's standards, LOL
And why would he want a fun girl when he already has Thelma Lou! :)

The problem last year was that so many were so close that he kept getting edged out.
I really do not like this new format. Its the opposite of what they were doing. Instead of sending two home and keeping the rest, they are now keeping three and sending 9 home.
Its really unfair to those that didn't get any or very little air time during auditions and Hollywood. Its always been geared towards the ones they wanted to win, but this year even more so, because of this new format.
To: silent_jonny
What was the deal with those two? A man-tourage? I don't know. They didn't even speak like everyone else's relatives did.

Lionel Ritchie is on the list as well Take him off the list: didn't Cokkie last season do a steamy hot version of "Hello" that Ritchie actually wanted him to record?
He gets a special one-time only exception.

Quick summary (no full review from me this week):
Best Guy: Danny
Best Girl: Alexis
Best Of The Rest: Ricky
I thought everyone else was simply generic (yes, even Brent for you Brent fans), except for the few disasters. The three above were the only performances that made me take note, and that makes a nice clean top 3 this week.
