I think you are right. At least the burning-through-my-fingertips sensation has stopped.

I see Pauler got herself another “star” ring out of her collection.

You can add Whitney to the “fail” list.

A bunching bag, what a great idea. Why am I paying for a therapist twice a month?

1. Paula seems more like she is imbibing Xanax instead of rum.

2. I still think Paula is hot...

I’d prefer to punch a therapist

All the judges are dipping into Paula’s stash!!!!

Kara, especially. It's like she's trying to be louder and more enthusiastic than the other judges.

This was $186 (bag and stand), set up in an hour and I can punch it for a full hour if I want to (not their wussy 50 minutes). Best money I’ve ever spent.

If I could get one to stand still long enough (yes, I'm thinking of Myrna, the marriage counselor from Hell) I'd do that, too.

I miss the old format guys night & girls nigh & results.

I don't mind them making it co-ed, I just wish they hadn't fiddled with the results--kicking NINE out and keeping three. And then we don't hear those three again until the Top 12?? That's messed up.

A very up and down night tonight. One very dissappointing crash and burn from one of my Favs, and a couple really surprising performances. For a few contestants it once again came down to that old canard - SONG CHOICE, SONG CHOICE, SONG CHOICE.

One thing was clear tonight, the perception that the guys were miles ahead of the girls was reinforced in spades tonight.

1. Danny Gokey - Hero - All last year we waited for a signature WOW performance and never got one. This will be a performance that will go down in AI lore as the performance that made a contestant. Just utterly absolutely totally fantastic. I will predict it right now - Danny Gokey will be the 2009 American Idol.

2. Brent Keith - Hick Town - Absolutely blew it out of the house. Simon can go suck an egg, this was a great performance, and firmly stamped Brent as a future country star.

3. Ricky Braddy - A Song For You - no stage presense, but a fantastic vocal performance. Not as good as Elloit Yamin’s version, but a very solid performance, possibly good enough to get him into the finals over brent. If not, he will definately be on the Wildcard show.

4. Alexis Grace - Never Loved a Man - Such a huge voice from such a tiny package. Had a huge Martina McBride vibe going on. Best female by a mile, and a definate dark horse in the finals.

5. Michael Sarver - I Don’t Wanna Be - Another great male performance, but one that will unfortunately get lost in the shuffle as the first three were much much better. Still a very strong vocal and worthy of consideration as a wildcard.

6. Tatiana Del Toro - Saving All My love For You - It almost pains me to put tatiana this high, but the truth is the girl can flat out sing. She has a strong memorable voice, that unfortunately is in a package that is nuttier than grannies fruitcake. Obviously had a huge dose of lithium or valium or Xanex though. LOL

7. Stephen Fowler - Rock With You - I was flabbergasted at the judges comments. I thought Stephen was fantastic. Not as good as the top 4 males, but still and all a solid performance. I really liked it.

8. Jackie Tohn - A little Less Conversation - A good solid performance that got overshadowed by the great ones. Not a show-stopper, but she had total command of the stage, and has a very distinctive voice.

9. Anoop Desai - Angel of Mine - Now we get into the song choice song choice song choice nightmares. Anoop was a collosal dissappointment for me. I loved his audition and thought he was fantastic during Hollywood week, but tonight was a total disaster. Hopefully they will give him a second chance during the wildcard night.

10. Anne Marie Boskovich - Natural Woman - I liked the performance, but it was way too Karaoke, and just a little off.

11. Stevie Wright - You Belong With Me - SONG CHOICE!!!! Also the nerves were very apparent in her voice. Not terrible, but was amatuer hour compared to the others.

12. Casey Carlson - Every Little The She Does - All I can say here is WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE THINKING. Total trainwreck. Adorably cute girl, good voice, terrible song choice.

I think my therapist just enjoys talking to me. We even argue religion and philosophy. Plus the high drama of the ex who wants me back, Mr. new date who madly in love after a date and a half, and me with a thing for one of my best friends who told me three weeks ago he wants to be a priest. Sigh, who wouldn't want to get paid for this kind of entertainment. I should be the therapist.
