How’s your weather today? Did you get some of the nice weather the past couple of days?
ANyone here noticed the ANNOYING habit the nets have laetlyof making their shows an extra minute or 2 longer...makes it much harder to tape the show..why can’t Congress do something..
I think they are trying to make it look like the viewers still have some say, but they are really giving us less, since so many good ones will fall to ‘circus performers’ because of this new platform.
Just set your vcr to tape a minute earlier and tape 3 minutes later.
Other theory is that of the top 50 or so..there are really only about 10-15 who have a chance of going all the way..so ther’e really nothing wrong with adding a few weirdos to the top 36....they’ll be cut fairly soon. Although we all bitch and moan about them..let’s be honest...we’ve all enjoyed and had fun with/at the expense of..Sanjaya, Wm Hung..and we’d never have Ashley Furl..and besides.. silent_jonny needs the material
I tape ALL my TV viewing...and watch later. I can watch a 30 minute show in 20 minutes..fast forwarding through the credits, promos, and ads..and I save 22 minutes in an hour show..and this way..if the show sucks..I can just bail. So it’s very productive.I have a DVDR with my cable box..I can only tape two shows at the same time..so if a show is going to run one minute over..I be screwed..

The problem with that theiry is that we have already seen a supposed list of one of the 12 groups and there were a LOT of good people in there. A lot more than 3. So, we already know that some good people are going to lose out to the circus performers.

Show really rots. Judges are competing with contestants in drama. Think I’ll tape and fast forward.
Yeah, it was nice over the weekend. Yesterday it rained all day and today it’s back into the 30’s. We always get some freaky warm days in February for some reason.
The good thing is that the warm weather and the rain melted more of our snow. They are saying we are supposed to have more snow Friday night/Saturday morning, but nothing major.
This is sort of an ugly time of year. The snow that is left is dirty, the ground is all muddy, and the grass is brown. With all the precipitation we’ve had, I’m really hoping for some great wildflowers in a couple of months.
Nope..I bring up the TV listings..just click on the show I want..and hit record..machine does everything else..really neat, and very user friendly..
We generally get your weather about 24 hours later so I just wondered what yours was like today. Be thankful, we got all that rain, too. If it had been snow, we have had another 3 ft of it.
Our roads are horrendous. Roads that they completely redid 2 years ago are falling apart so bad. I swear they have changed the formula for blacktop and it just isn’t lasting as long as it used to.
Yeah, that’s the problem with DVR’s- cutting off the last minute.
They do it so you will hopefully stick around to watch whatever crap show they put after it.
My cousin has a DVDR and she’s pretty tech savvy, I’ll have to ask her if she’s having the same problem.
