Posting random funny pics you find on Google is a whole lot more productive than watching/listening to our current prez and his minions. Staring at a blank post is more productive than listening to Obummer.

We also have one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, behind only Michigan and Rhode Island. 'Present'. :)

Heya Jonny! Checking in long after the fact, as usual... I was trying to see if I could pick out the winner early on this year (I really, really liked David Cook during H-week last year, though I can’t take credit for standing up and saying, “Him, him! That guy’s gonna win!” LOL!). I think the oil rig guy, the widower w/glasses, and the quiet young lady with long dark hair and the sweet, clear voice (the one they sent back to get dolled up during initial auditions) are all looking like finalists. Mommy Lil won’t win — the judges are acting like she’s IT but she doesn’t have the pipes. Goth Guy can seriously sing but my Gaydar is doing that “BWOOP, BWOOP! ALL BATTLESTATIONS READY” kind of alarm right now ... and America still doesn’t like an overtly gay singer. If he can ramp back and do a Clay Aiken thing, he might make it into the finals. Not the winner. Blind Guy seems nice but I’m not impressed with him as a singer. If I really had to pick the winner tonight ... I’d say it’s Widower w/glasses or else someone we haven’t seen.
Oh, and that Tatiana chick? Shoot me now. Or her. Or put a bag over her head. Or mine. I really don’t care. If the judges actually keep her, I hope she gives them enough grief that they rue the day. Awful, awful, awful. Yikes!

(Q: How many Obamas does it take to change a light bulb? A: THAT'S NOT FUNNY!)
To: Hetty_Fauxvert
Pretty much agree with all of your post. Danny (widower) is my pick as well, but its still early and I’d like to hear more from Matt Giraud (he’s the guy from michigan), and I want to hear what Jackie Tohn can do. We are only being fed little snippets right now. It’s going to take the first couple of real shows where they sing more than a verse before we get a real idea of who these people are and how they are going to shake out.

Sigh, I just have to remind myself that God is in control and try not to worry too much about it. I'm having to do that alot lately, and it's not just for the Obama stuff. It's for life in general. It's hard to let go at times, isnt' it? :) Good thread last night jonny. This is an oasis in times like this and I appreciate the drink of water. :)

Hi, Hetty!
Your comments are spot-on and hilarious!

I agree. It's like she's trying to impress the judges by singing LOUD all the time.
I can see the blind guy (no pun intended) in the Top 36, but after that his novelty might wear off. He seems refreshingly devoid of drama though, which makes me like him.

Awful, awful, awful. Yikes! They'll keep her around just for the "entertainment" value of her nervous breakdowns. It's production decisions like that that give us the Sanjayas and Mikhaylas.

Fine! You'll just have to laugh at this tomorrow ;)LMAO!!

Hot date, Kittie?Sadly no. I seem to be emitting some kind of man-repellent vibe lately along with a case of say/do the completely wrongthingitis.

I work 30 hours and love the stress free life. Good luck to you. Thanks Peggy. What you describe is what I'm trying to head for, trying to focus on the positive instead of the negative. :)

Just now reading the thread..
Once again, I am forced to comment on The lack of "SPARKLEES" last night. Whassamattah??? When W was president, the AI threads were festooned with SPARKLEES..So now that we have a President "of color"...we are all going to revert to Black and White?
