Paula: No it's a yes.

They're safe. The room erupts in cheers.

But looking at the people here, you have to believe they're being kept just for ballast. Like Norman Gentle!?

Tomorrow night, the final cut.

It will be different this year. Instead of riding The Elevator of Doom to hear the judges' verdicts, the remaining contestants will travel to the swanky Idol mansion where the judges will be waiting in throne-like chairs.

And a twist: if the judges are split over a singer, that singer must sing one last time (unexpectedly) and try to sway the judges' final decision.

In the teaser, Michael Sarver is shown doing this. Kind of humiliating.

The good news is that even if she does get through, she won’t last long. No one is going to vote for her except the 24 people at Vote for the Worst.

They really shouldn’t let her through. She’s mentally not well.

And Idol seems to be playing with her like a cat with a ball of yarn.

She was pulled out of Room 2, which survived, and put into Room 4, which also survived.

Please know that I, for one, am out here appreciating everything you type. You give me insights to the show that I can't get otherwise, and you do it at least three hours before I see the show here in L.A. where it's actually happening. :)

Even Rush commented that Air Force One didn't look as big when O stepped off it.

Dude is sure to make it in show biz. Has the right temperament. Last night here in LaLaLand we had a slow-speed police chase. Gorgeous new $250,000 white Bentley being driven all over the Los Angeles at about 25 to 30mph by some rich white hip-hop DJ dude from Miami in town for the Grammys. Seems he had a fight with his girl, threatened her with a gun, then took off in the Bentley. About midnight he finally stopped in North Hollywood and refused to come out of the car. It all ended when the dude shot himself. He did in the hospital.

The economy is in the tank and so many average folks are hurting. But here's some show biz guy who can afford a Bentley and, he's despondent enough to whack himself. Un-frickin-believable.
