Ok folks here's the new thread for the new season.

.................................................................................Set in Washington, DC, "Day 7" opens four years after Season Six with CTU dismantled and JACK BAUER on trial. Bauer's day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague TONY ALMEIDA returns. Meanwhile, newly elected President ALLISON TAYLOR leads the country alongside White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN and First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR.

A national security crisis prompts an investigation by a team of FBI agents including JANIS GOLD, RENEE WALKER, LARRY MOSS and SEAN HILLINGER. Although CTU is no longer, CHLOE O'BRIAN and BILL BUCHANAN are back for another momentous day of shocking events.

One plot twist is still bugging me: the Bill/Chloe/Tony pseudo-CTU operation.

I just went back and watched last night’s segment where Tony was telling Jack everything. He said he’d spent 4 years tracking down Wilson and he “enlisted Bill and Chloe” to help him. They were “going to turn them in and shut them down...but Jack interfered and screwed everything up”.

But that contradicts everything I’d believed before. I had thought the CTU-like operation had been formed BY Wilson to stop Jonas.

So if Wilson wasn’t involved and didn’t fund it...who paid for all those super computer networks, the blue van, etc?

My take on the Imam was that Jack doesn't know any priest, ministers or Rabi’s, so he called the only religious person he knew.

Well my take on this whole season is they have become too politically correct for my taste. From turning into a bunch of environmentalist whackos to now trying to convince us that followers of muhammud are willing to live peacefully with infedels I'm through. This leftist propaganda that is permeating the Television programming lately is reminding me of my childhood when we didn't watch much TV at all.

I really liked those days. ;-)

Janeane Garafalo is the new POTUS

Jack comes back to life, but is forever left with ticks and twitches so he can't bow on his prayer mat or hold a gun.

Freckles becomes the new "Jack Bauer", leaving a trail of blood bigger than Jack's.

Could this get any worse?

24 starts up production on Season 8 at the end of May, with an eye on a January 2010 premiere.

I hate to say this but like so many other areas of our culture, it looks like “24” has been Hijacked by the left who think they can convert the conservatives who watched it because they desperately needed at least one patriotic TV hero.

Interesting choice of words there. I know I'm done and I haven't heard Rush mention 24 in a long time. No wonder Kiefer is getting hammered all the time. He seems to be fighting a losing battle.

24 starts up production on Season 8 at the end of May, with an eye on a January 2010 premiere.

The official start date for Season 8 is January 17, 2010...it is being paired with 'Human Target'; based on the DC Comics character...the trailer for HT looks good...REAL good.

I had always thought there was a 4th person, a "Mr. Big", of the team also. I just don't think Bill or Tony could have come up with the resources and connections to put together the CTU-Lite operation.

Chloe had the technical expertise but again, no resources and definitely no connections.

So, the still leaves me with the question, "Who IS Mr. Big?"

I hope it’s not one of those things they just leave hanging...pretending that Tony’s little speech last night put that one to bed. Nothing we’ve heard to date explains how they could have paid for all their stuff...let alone all the access they had to super secret systems.

I haven’t ever used hulu but Fox carries their own shows online in hi-def. The player you need to download seems to be non-toxic to the computer, and the streams play steady after the few seconds it takes to sync the audio & video.
