Bauer's day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague TONY ALMEIDA returns. Meanwhile, newly elected President ALLISON TAYLOR leads the country alongside White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN and First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR.
A national security crisis prompts an investigation by a team of FBI agents including JANIS GOLD, RENEE WALKER, LARRY MOSS and SEAN HILLINGER. Although CTU is no longer, CHLOE O'BRIAN and BILL BUCHANAN are back for another momentous day of shocking events.
That's a tough one for sure.
Personally, I agree that Tony is bad to the bone but...it is "24".
Aaron? (please, 24 writers — keep him good!) It was spoiled daughter who made the arrangements and had access to the money to pay for it. Where would Aaron get that in just a few minutes - assuming he was innocent up to the time that First Kid mentioned she wanted Hodges dead.
Yeah...I hope I'm wrong on Aaron but I'm pretty sure of one thing, the First Snot Hit Man didn't do it. Lotsa people wanted Hodges dead.
And -— where did the girl get that money? She seems all over the place with her loyalties. And why are her pupils so dilated when she is facing a camera, and I suppose lights?

The best part last night was when Olivia was staring at the wire transfer screen. Her two choices were “Cancel” and “Execute.” The “execution” in this case was literal.
I think you are right about First Whatever-she-is. You can’t have the Prez’s son murdered, hubby almost die, AND dear daughter a killer. Someone else hit Hodges. Aaron will think it is FD, until she breaks down and tells him she cancelled at the last minute. Aaron will be faithful and keep her secret, but I hope the two of them will not live happily ever after.
I don’t think Hodges is dead. I think Aaron knew what first daughter was planning, got Jonas out of the car and then blew it up to fake his death. What was the point of Hodges sneaking a picture of his family if they were just going to kill him? All speculation, of course.
If Tony hadn’t killed Larry and the FBI agents I might have believed he was good but he has gone to the dark side.
I think Olivia is dirty,,she was involved with Hodges et all is my guess.
I remember that House episode - and House said something about Jack Bauer, too.
Now, if they could get a Mod Squad-style show with House, Jack Bauer, Gordon Ramsay and Simon Cowell, that would be a treat!
Or maybe the hit-team figures it’s pretty valuable having the goods on the President’s Chief of Staff ordering up a murder.........
YUP! Just what I was thinking they got Olivia hooked and are reeling her in. She thought she was the master manipulator but now she will be played like a Stradivarius

Brooke Shields is squaring off against Kiefer Sutherland ... and it’s getting ugly fast.
Shields’ reps tell TMZ the man Kiefer headbutted last night in no way did anything to Brooke that would have warranted the alleged attack.
As we reported, witnesses say Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough knocked Brooke to the ground at an after-party for the Met costume gala in NYC last night. But Brooke’s rep say “nothing happened to her,” adding “Jack did nothing inappropriate. It’s not clear what caused Keifer to do what he did.”
Witnesses say Kiefer went up to Jack and demanded he apologize to Brooke. Jack allegedly pushed Kiefer and Kiefer then headbutted Jack.
But Brooke’s reps tell us Jack, who designs clothes for Brooke, “did absolutely nothing to her.”
But here’s where the plot thickens. We asked the rep, “Did Jack touch her?” Their response — “We don’t know.”
We’re told Brooke will be interviewed by cops tomorrow.

Kiefer Sutherland -- I Stood Up for Brooke Shields
Law enforcement sources tell us Kiefer Sutherland headbutted a man in New York City Monday night, causing lacerations on the man's nose — all while defending the honor of one Brooke Shields .. so he says.
It happened at an after-party for the Met Costume Institute Gala Monday night. We're told witnesses say the alleged victim — Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough — allegedly knocked Brooke Shields over and Kiefer saw it happen. The witnesses say Kiefer went over to the man and told him to apologize to her. At that point they say McCollough pushed Kiefer and the actor responded with a headbutt.
A police report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
Complicating it for Kiefer — he's on probation in L.A. for a DUI, and one of the terms is that he obey all laws. No word on whether L.A. prosecutors will pursue the matter.
My comment. Can he claim Bio-Weapon Poisoning Syndrome?
Something seems wrong with this whole picture. I can’t see him headbutting someone for no reason.
Although the 24 hour work day with all that ‘torture’ he has to produce,no potty or food breaks, no time to charge his phone could be getting to him. And yes the poison in his system would be the best defense. :)

One would think there are still photos somewhere with all the paparazzi everywhere.
Seems to me if the guy pushed Kiefer first as the report says, then he was just defending himself.
I don't know, but if you were wondering about Kim well in next weeks episode description in TV Guide it says Kim is in peril as if we didn't see that coming.

Remember just before Tony and Larry got on their last chopper ride? Tony heard him say Kim was in town and seemed to take special note of it.
So what’s he going to do...hijack her plane?!
I’ll post the whole description when I get home tonight. I think the peril could be from the cannister, but don’t quote me on it yet.
Jack's daughter, Kim, is in harm's way, and the continuing terror threat fuels the rivalry between Chloe and Janis.
