Details emerge on Jett Travolta's death

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their children Jett and Ella Bleu, leave an airport in Rome.

John Travolta's lawyers -- who are close family friends -- reveal that Jett may have died in his father's arms Friday.

Us: How is John doing?

-snip- "John and Kelly are suffering total misery. They were so close to their son. This is hard to accept.

-snip-

Us: Have John and Kelly spent time with anyone since everyone arrived?

Ossi and McDermott: "John and Kelly have been pretty much locked away.

"We are staying here until John leaves. The autopsy should be on Monday.

-snip-

Us: It's been reported that Jett was left alone for several hours before being discovered. Can you clarify the timeline?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett was not left alone. He had a nanny present at all times. The nanny was sleeping close to Jett's room. There was a baby monitor, a chime on the door so it was known when Jett was going in and out. He was completely supervised. The nanny found him.

Us: Is it true that Jett died in John's arms?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett may have still been alive when John administered CPR, and then the EMT took over. Jett was pronounced dead at the hospital. I like to believe John had a chance to say goodbye. He may have died in his dad's arms. I am not certain."

Us: It's been said Jett had a history of seizures. How often did he have them?

Ossi and McDermott: "I am not confident to talk about that. I know he had a history, which of course warranted the extra attention."

-snip-

This is not a discussion, it’s an assassination.

The topic of religious freedom always boils down to protection of children.
Protecting children FROM religion, that is.

What a sick society we’ve become, to tolerate witch hunts like this.

Excuse me if I don’t click on your links.
~ Your crude attempt to smear religion stinks.
I know you’ll never go away, but please allow me here to say,
You can’t control what everybody thinks.

Targeting Travolta’s seems to be
the Cause du jour, manipulatively.
To use their child’s death to gain some sympathetic breath
for your vendetta is a shameful travesty.

David Mayo , a 25 year scientologist, admits the abuse of children that posters here feel is acceptable.

http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/Library/Shelf/miller/interviews/mayo.htm

“They used to have people locked in the chain locker, including small children. It was very dangerous because if the anchor started to slip and start running out, it would turn a body into pulp in no time at all. I saw children locked up in the chain locker. “

I’m glad to hear it. Let us hope they now have a chance to heal.

One other thing I heard last night is they are planning to head up to Maine to be alone with Ella and away from prying eyes. They love it up there in the winter.

That sounds like a wonderful idea to me. I love Maine, partly because it’s possible to find places that are beautiful and somewhat remote. I can’t really think of a better place that they could have chosen.

Well, we certainly don’t need the flamewars or the legal hassles. Might be best if you just drop it.
Thanks

I had seen something last week about how the family loved their Maine home in the winter, sledding and walking in the woods. Kirstie Allie has a home near his home and somehow he had to shuttle her dog and cat up there on his plane for her a while back ... leading Kelly to comment "at least she didn't ask us to take the monkey and snakes, too." Compared to so many who stick to Hollywood, they seem to lead such a normal life.

Did you see the picture on Radar of the jets all parked around his house yesterday? I'll admit, that isn't normal, but for people who want privacy on coming and going, it's actually a wonderful thing to have your own private gated community and runway. I'm surprised Tom Cruise and some of the other stars who are also pilots don't live there as well.

BTW, I'm really curious how they became such good friends with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood... I love Garth!

Thank you for all the interesting and informative information in both pings Carolyn.

I hope they can find some peace and strength in the face of the worst thing possible that can happen to any parent and will continue to pray for them.

Here is an interesting article from Today’s Daily Mail..

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1111057/Did-John-Travoltas-weird-faith-seal-son-Jetts-fate.html

Did John Travolta’s weird faith seal his son Jett’s fate?

from the article..

“Scientology, however, does not recognise autism as a valid condition. Its exponents believe all psychiatric and neurological disorders are psychosomatic and sufferers are exhorted to shun medication, relying on a course of vitamins and minerals instead.

It is a hugely controversial belief which detractors claim has caused many deaths, as well as ruining the lives of thousands of mentally ill individuals who have been drawn into Scientology.

This has raised a number of questions about the circumstances of Jett’s death and whether more could have been done to save his life.”

I think all this speculation around the world would be stopped if Travolta’s lawyers would come out and give some details about the treatment plans for Jett..

Normally it wouldn’t be a concern or anyone’s business.. but there are so many signs things weren’t right I think its in Travolta’s best interest to get the information at some point and clear things up..

here is another article written by a physician on Jett

http://www.buzzflash.com/articles/contributors/1880

For someone in Jett’s condition, and with Jett not being in a hospital, I cannot imagine any physician recommending that he be taken off all antiseizure medication, as he was.

Shortly before his death, Jett was reportedly having grand mal seizures at a rate of one or more per week, which would place his health and safety at great risk. If this is so, the safest and most appropriate place for Jett would have been in a hospital, where Jett could be closely monitored while necessary changes were made to his antiseizure medication regime and until he was stabilized and having seizures much less frequently. Intravenous medication is often required in situations like this, which is another reason why a hospital would be the right setting for Jett. Simply stated, this is how I and all other physicians I know would attempt to treat Jett.

this is a bit interesting.. christian scientists explaining how they are different than scientologists..

http://www.parkrecord.com/ci_11417885?source=most_emailed

from what i can tell.. aside from the obvious difference in the belief in Christ.. the Christian scientists are different in that they have very different organization...

in that they are very loosely organized without a pastor... and allow all people access to all their scripture for free... while Scientology charges fees for access to different levels..

and i won’t get into the policies about people leaving Scientology so as to not upset any scientologists on here.. but that is a difference as well... at least in my opinion..

when it comes to medicine.. I think a similar pressure is involved... although on the subject of blood transfusions.. haven’t heard any policies against that from scientoligists...

would like to no more from christian scientists about how they treat illnesses versus scientoligists...
