Details emerge on Jett Travolta's death

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their children Jett and Ella Bleu, leave an airport in Rome.

John Travolta's lawyers -- who are close family friends -- reveal that Jett may have died in his father's arms Friday.

Us: How is John doing?

-snip- "John and Kelly are suffering total misery. They were so close to their son. This is hard to accept.

-snip-

Us: Have John and Kelly spent time with anyone since everyone arrived?

Ossi and McDermott: "John and Kelly have been pretty much locked away.

"We are staying here until John leaves. The autopsy should be on Monday.

-snip-

Us: It's been reported that Jett was left alone for several hours before being discovered. Can you clarify the timeline?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett was not left alone. He had a nanny present at all times. The nanny was sleeping close to Jett's room. There was a baby monitor, a chime on the door so it was known when Jett was going in and out. He was completely supervised. The nanny found him.

Us: Is it true that Jett died in John's arms?

Ossi and McDermott: "Jett may have still been alive when John administered CPR, and then the EMT took over. Jett was pronounced dead at the hospital. I like to believe John had a chance to say goodbye. He may have died in his dad's arms. I am not certain."

Us: It's been said Jett had a history of seizures. How often did he have them?

Ossi and McDermott: "I am not confident to talk about that. I know he had a history, which of course warranted the extra attention."

That's an awful long treatise. Coulda just said “mind your own business”.

Scientology apologists will be coming out of the woodwork. Why are they any different than the scores of other religions who are pilloried for their beliefs?

Remember Waco? And the LDS church? Maybe the government could step in and “save” all the Scientology kids from their parents.

Travolta and wife chose to live their life in the public eye. I personally don't give a crap what they do or how they do it. But when you spend all your life chasing attention then you don't get to pick and choose what folks talk about. BTW, I hear Travoltas a really nice guy. I'm sorry for their loss.

I am not going to bother and go back to see how many of these posters made comments about how Obama continued to go to Reverend Wright’s church.

BUT

How can John Travolta promote a cult that practices child abuse and violates child labor laws. It is beyond me why the conservatives on this thread are giving Scientology a pass on this one..

I didn’t know the extent of the abuses within this cult until Jett died and I started to look into it. It is quite horrifying.

I don’t give a damn if they believe in aliens. I do care about the fact that victims get fleeced, it ruins their lives, they get blackmailed..they end up dead because of the medical practices..over and over and over again.....but most importantly, they abuse the children.

The more I look into this the more I hope an authority looks into the death of Jett. To put a disabled boy through that detox process should be considered child abuse..even though legally it might not be...or it just might be. I don’t know.

Thank you. Decimation of religious freedom is certainly nothing new.

It is absolutely imperative that religious freedom be destroyed, to implement the complete takeover of society. The Travoltas are now in the crosshairs of that movement.

We who cherish our right to worship and raise our own children, had better follow this witch hunt closely, because it’s only going to get worse.

It’s pretty simple with me: Either we believe in, and support, the constitution — or we don’t. Travolta’s were not and are not running for elected office, how they choose to worship is their constitutional right and no one’s business IMHO.

HOw did they get the “religous” status?

Through blackmailing the IRS who then made an Unconstitional agreement with them.

If you care so much about the protection of religion..then you ought to care about the IRS violating the US Constitution for the sake of blackmailing Scientologists.

Freedom of religion argument is NO excuse for child abuse and violation of child labor laws.

What they are doing is no different than the cult that practices incest in the name of their religion.

please show some respect for the discussion and stop with the personal attacks..

I think the point is, outlawjake, B9 doesn't "respect" your discussion.

i don’t care if travolta was the Pope.. any child’s suspicious death should be investigated...

Of course the Pope is not likely to have kids...

its not about religious freedom its about protection of life.. just like that mormon cult that were sexually abusing kids needed to be stopped.. warren jeffs i think it was..

its not about religious freedom stopping warren jeffs from abusing kids.. its about basic rights of human beings..

From a former member

Every time I see a post by Terril Parks about the wonders and awe of FZ, as if it were Catholic mysticism in a religious studies course, I feel anger well up in me, for all the kids stuffed in chain lockers, molested, suicides, abortions, violence by DM, and the sick things LRH DID say... NOTHING he said to me is worth shit when you can find the same or better in other philosophic studies or seeking your own path instead of LRH...

It disgusts me. It's like hearing a mother say that although her husband or boyfriend molested her daughters, he still has some good attributes.

If he doesn’t respect the discussion he should not read it.. rather than personally attacking people..

But THIS SITE DOES RESPECT DISCUSSION. Arizona Carolyn already bawled to the Admin Moderator. That person made it clear to stop the personal attacks..but you all just can't seem to do it.

I have pinged Jim Robinson twice on this thread because of the hint of a threat of a lawsuit..typical Scientology strong arm tactic. Should he wish this discussion to end I will RESPECT him as I know this is a dangerous and RUTHLESS cult.

Yes , my mind is made up about the horrible child abuse and violation of child labor laws by the cult.

It is a bad thing.
If you think it is a good thing that is your business.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Freakout

Operation Freakout, also known as Operation PC Freakout, was a Church of Scientology covert plan intended to have the US author and journalist Paulette Cooper imprisoned or committed to a mental institution. The plan, undertaken in 1976 following years of Church-initiated lawsuits and covert harassment, was meant to eliminate the perceived threat that Cooper posed to the Church and obtain revenge for her publication in 1971 of a highly critical book, The Scandal of Scientology. The Federal Bureau of Investigation discovered documentary evidence of the plot and the preceding campaign of harassment during an investigation into the Church of Scientology in 1977, eventually leading to the Church compensating Cooper in an out-of-court settlement.
