We have been discussing lima bean soup for several days and now I am craving it. Actually we have discussed all kinds of soups. I believe you were here for some of that, weren’t you? I am getting hungry now. Will warm up some chili, I guess.
Speaking of our “late, great Golden State,” I just learned about the law banning smoking in a car (yes, one’s own privately owned car) with children under 18 yrs of age.
Thanks to nutcase fascist Jenny Oropeza, who sponsored the law. This goes un-protested, while the freaks are out there demanding homo marriage.
I mean, this is NOT GOOD.
I usually make 2 big pots, one of chili and one of “tomato soup” for the wimps. :) IF we have any left—LOL—it freezes well. Just remember, chili gets hotter when you freeze it!
Might have to do a pot of green baby limas or great northerns next week. :)
See #750...:o)
However, I've watched all of the Bachelorette shows - and a few of the 'contestants' (for lack of a better word) have stood out. There is one 'girl' contestant and one of the guys that I remember the most. One was the guy that Bachelorette, Jen somebody, had the chance to marry - the cutest guy EVER on the show! She ended up not 'choosing' him OR the other runnerup. I think she was in love with herself more than anything. :)
The girl I remember the most was a finalist on one season, got her heart broken when he didn't propose to her, and they brought her back on a later season of The Bachelor - Season 6 - and she was the winner! Byron Velvick - The Bachelor; Mary Delgado - Bachelorette Winner
Demonstraters are mostly anti-Israel with a few pro-Israel. I think I saw Linda Halderman there. Stuart was probably there but he didn’t make the news clips.
YOU'RE PASSIONATE
Two police officers saw this old woman staggering down the street, stopping
her they can tell she has had far too much to drink and instead of taking
her to jail they decide to just drive her home. They loaded her into the
police cruiser one of the officers gets in the back with the drunk woman.
As they drove through the streets they kept asking the woman where she
lived, all she would say as she stroked the officers arm is "You're Passionate."
They drove awhile longer and asked again, again the same response as she
stroked his arm "You're Passionate".
The officers were getting a little upset so they stopped the car and said
to the woman, Look we have driven around this City for two hours and you
still haven't told us where you live.
She replied, "I keep trying to tell you, 'You're Passin It!'"
I remember Mary Delgado! She was a very emotional girl. Who was the bachelor she way vying for? It wasn’t Andrew Firestone, was it?
I was into the Trista Bachelorette show bigtime, thought she should have picked Charlie(?) but she did the right thing choosing Ryan!!
...was vying...
LOL!
I know now why I had a different screen presentation than others.
I was using Firefox, on an old computer. I think it had trouble parsing the font= “fault” instruction.
When I booted up with Internet Explorer, the font sizes seemed normal. Sorry for the unnecessary complaint.
I liked Mary - she was more mature acting than many of them, and also thought she and that particular bachelor made a good match. I think it was probably the prior season that she was on and wasn’t chosen. (Can’t remember if she was top 3 or top 2) See, I don’t remember a LOT of these after a couple of years!
I think that is one of the reasons I don’t LIKE Firefox! Things don’t always look the same in Firefox as in IE, though who’s to say which one is ‘right’! :)
I was trying to remember, Bob and Estella, they didn’t last very long. He was too goofy and I think not suited for marriage. That season turned me off.
Um, that list skips over Trista and Ryan.
Jen was the one who didn’t stay with Andrew Firestone.
Thanks, jaycee..I downloaded some recipes to pick and choose from..many had carrots, too..I think the oil may be for cooking the onions a bit..I use canola oil a lot.I use it in baking.
Sorry your day is dark and dreary..Mine has been mostly sunny but cold and windy....I hate to get out in the rain..but there has been too little rain lately..Wish we had yours!
I will be away for awhile.
I need to do some laundry and vacuum.
Exciting, Right?
