Be back later.
Lyrics from the soundtrack album. May vary from lyrics in film.
I'm mean I'm mean I'm mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
Ya know what I say
He's says he's mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
Mean
He's mean he's mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
I say what I mean
That's true that's true
I mean what I say
He do he do
I'm so mean I had a dream of beatin' myself up
I broke my nose I broke my hand I wrestled myself to the ground and then
Choked myself to death then broke the choke and woke up
That's how mean I'm mean I'm mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
I practically lost
The fight of his life
And it took me all night
All night all night
But I came out all right
All right all right
Because I'm so mean
I'm mean
He's mean he's mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
I mean that I'm mean
He's mean he's mean
I mean what I say
He's mean he's mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
I'm meaner than spit
That's it that's it
I'm meaner than [here he gets drowned out by crowd]
That's it that's it
I'm meaner than mean
He's mean he's mean
[spoken by someone]
He pauses for a moment
Looks around, picks up a tiger
And completely demolishes a whole building
With one puff
[back to the song]
I'm mean
He's mean he's mean
Ya know what I mean
He's mean he's mean
If you know what I mean
He says he's mean
If you know what I mean
He says he's mean
He's mean he's mean
[repeat]
Now I see what the problem is with the font size. When I first viewed this I was using firefox and the font size under the "Listen" graphic was very tiny, as was "graphic by Mama_Bear". Then, when I opened up Internet Explorer and viewed it, the font size was larger.
I do wish the different browser creators would standardize their programs so html translates the same.
Your welcome Jaycee, I agree.
I got bad news last night that my brother in law died, he was diagnosed with cancer two months ago. Only 57, my Friend Rich Lee.
The ground has been covered with the stuff for weeks and the snowblower has never had so much exercise.
But it's a postcard.
I had to order higher boots (sign of the coming ice age) for the deeper snow this year. They are due today and that purchase could possibly cause spring to arrive tomorrow with any ‘luck.’
Note bird seed on snowman’s head.
Snowman Soup
Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow.
It's sure to do the trick!
Outstanding!
Many thanks, its perfect!
Good morning, you two! Interesting - but very striking! - opening today! Doesn’t hurt that he’s dark and handsome! I saved the music - really like it, and I hadn’t heard that one before. I think “Let Me Be Your Hero” is the only one of his that I recognize, but I do remember you said you like listening to Latin music. :)
Had to go back and peruse Sunday’s opening and posts - love the old missions, Meg, and such a pretty way to open Amy’s Place on Sunday. Loved all your birds in your comments as well! I know that you spend a lot of time in your attention to detail - like text colors and size & choice of table backgrounds to match every graphic, which are also so carefully chosen. Thank you!
And to each of you who make Amy's Place so nice for all of us, with your talents, imagination and time, a great big
Yes, I do. And, I heard a lot of criticism that he just can't sing, still, I like his music.......and yes, he is dark and handsome. That never hurts. ;-)
I know this particular song is a little different than what we normally present at Amy's Place, but I thought it would be nice to add a little Latin spice to warm up a cold winter's day.
Here are a couple other Enrique Iglesias songs that I like:
Hi, there, yorkie. Thank you for the mega dittos and the ‘preciation, ‘cause it’s pure pleasure for me, doing whatever I do. :) Everyone does their part making this the funnest place on the net!
I sit beside the fire and think
Of all that I have seen.
Of meadow-flowers and butterflies
In summers that have been.
Of yellow leaves and gossamer
In autumns that there were
With morning mist and silver sun
And wind upon my hair.
I sit beside the fire and think
Of how the world will be
When winter comes without a spring
That I shall ever see.
For still there are so many things
That I have never seen
In every wood in every spring
There is a different green.
I sit beside the fire and think
Of people long ago,
And people who will see a world
That I shall never know.
But all the while I sit and think
Of times there were before
I listen for returning feet
And voices at the door.
J.R.R. Tolkien
I will be back a little later with the Holidays.
I took another day off yesterday; my son helped to rid my computer of spyware and malware. He also deleted a couple of other unwanted files.
Really foggy today; school buses were cancelled. Classes started at 9:00 for the students who made it. We took Marissa at 9:45.
Now, I need to call a cousin. Her daughter called me yesterday to let me know that my cousin had been diagnosed with colon cancer which has spread to her liver. We were raised together as she is about 6 months younger than I am.
I will be back ..... promise!
I love that one! Tolkien was such a great writer, in so many ways.
Goodness, I’m so sorry to hear about your brother in law, Mr. Mayor. Yes, that’s very young. I just lost my sweet next door neighbor, Brenda, in October with cancer that she found out about only 3 months earlier. She was only 60. I also had a classmate just drop dead along about the same time. I went to 3 funerals in two weeks. It dampened Christmas for everyone.
I will be praying for you and his family.

I’m sorry to say that I have not read his works. I know, I am probably the only person alive that hasn’t read The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings (and more). After reading this poem, though, I may have to look into some of Tolkien’s writings.
