Morning! Doing OK?, how is you daughter doing.
Toby
Listening to Byron York on Bennett explain the Warren choice for the inauguration.
Brrrrr...
Good morning, I see we are discussing and reporting current temperatures. It’s 45 at the moment here. The front came through and dropped the temperature at least 25 degrees in the period of an hour yesterday morning.
Daughter to come tomorrow. I feel pretty ready for Christmas except for the meal planning and groceries and will remedy that today.

Well, the Warren choice for the inauguration ... it didn’t surprise me at all. It is a nod to Christianity but nothing more. It is like UOx42 carrying that big Bible to church. Props. It has no more value than styrofoam grecian columns.
I have nothing to say about Warren. I haven’t read his book or visited his web site to learn of his church’s doctrinal beliefs. I do not know if he is one of those “pop” Christians who have a watered-down theology or if Warren espouses a literal interpretation of Scripture or what.
Agree about Warren!

Sending our deepest gratitude for your service JT, and that of your buddies.
Merry Christmas to you all!
We value your friendship, too. We love to hear about you family.
Many people commented how much they enjoyed the sermon. We are getting more involved in that church's activities, still evaluating our decision for a church home. I wish the church was a bit closer to us, but that's life and the distance is manageable.
Good morning from cold CAli.
At one point in our lives we traveled over an hour to attend a very good church. Sure, there were other churches we could have attended but nothing that held the Word in reverence and taught and walked Biblical models.
We compared it to how far we would travel to get to a top-notch doctor or education. The Word of God is so far much more important than those. At other churches the sermons were often on “feel good” topics and not a close exposition of the Scripture that had been previously read. Sometimes we couldn’t find any correlation between the Scripture and the sermon. Also at that church we traveled to, Sunday School was not just for children and it was held after the Worship Service. This enabled the sermon to be discussed and reinforced among the members. Many lives have been changed through that church.
A good church makes a difference.
Ummm, and our pastor spoke about one of the “whys” that Christ came - to bring the sword. There is a theme running through the Church these days?
Good morning.
Hmmm, how did my placemats get on the table????
It is cool, cool, cool in central Texas. Good Morning Everyone.
I’m off to make some coffee. Gotta get started this a.m., been lazy. Watched some of F&F. They’re wondering what happened to our tax used to bail our the banks. Seems it’s disappeared.
