Plant/Krause were very good. Did a southern gothic version of Black Dog and also performed The Ballad of Evermore, in addition to the songs from their CD. Buddy Miller did all the heavy guitar-lifting.

Ehh-- I liked some of his songs. The little I heard. I was working on the smoking patio that night. I liked more how the guests were dressed, with the old Las Vegas flair. I spent most of the night talking to an interesting fellow with a fedora who had come with a large group of friends in which they all had decided to have a persona for the night. His original story was that he was a Rockefeller who had been disowned after deciding to follow his dream of being an animal psychic. In reality, he was a computer tech and still interesting to talk with, as he spent the whole night on the patio talking with me, rather than watching the show with his friends.

Saw Webb Wilder a couple of times including one show front row in an old restored theater in Macon, GA. Rainy cold night and very small audience. It was like a private performance.
Some local acts as well.

Would love to see Rush! "Closer to the Heart" is one of my favorites.
All I got to see this year was The Dave Matthews Band.

The Cure, Beyonce, Gwen Steffani, Maroon 5, BTE (Better then Ezra), Elton John, Jimmy Buffet (benefit concert) and last one was Billy Joel in Nov.
Would have been Linken Park but the lead singer had to hurt his back so show was cancelled. Money refunded.
All were free except the Cure and LP. Considering the tickets for Joel and for Elton were about 400.00 respectfully, I thought it was a good bargain.
This might be a little barney frank on my part, but Elton wasn’t bad at all. Joel can still belt it out and his new wife is kind of hot.
Cure was the best because they played for almost three hours straight. Unlike a Bob Dylan concert I went to one year where he played 10 songs and left.
Beyonce sucked, less then 2 hour concert with and hour and 40 minutes of costume changing. Just sing for F’ sake.
Hoping TOOL will play in 09.
