What is the story behind this picture? [vanity]

I took the picture of this picture at Dave & Busters in Houston. It was in one of their banquet rooms along with many other stock, nostalgic pictures of New York.

Is this some kind of composite fake? Is she in a dirigible of some sort (unlikely)? Is she standing above a giant diorama? A scene from a movie?

If it's a total fake, it was totally out of place among the other pictures. I'm just curious if this picture has a story on the interwebs. My search attempts have been fruitless so far.

Any thoughts on this? Your help in determining the story that goes with this picture would be much appreciated.

This picture was taken from with Gotham City and was never meant to be shown to public. Gotham exist in one is called a refraction dimension and one must be highly trained to be able to enter it. It’s too bad you posted this, I weep for you, they’re coming, run, run like you never have before ...

As a lifelong merchant mariners, it looks to me like she is leaning at the rail from a structure of a vessel, navy or merchant???

It’s a model of some kind. In the upper right corner you can see the curve of the earth and what looks like lighting and shadows on a wall.
Pretty cool model though.

I think those are reflections from the glass in the picture frame. Look at the bottom left: you can see people sitting at a table.

I saw this pic on 60 Minutes. It’s fake but accurate.

I’ve been on the roof of World Trade II, and from there, you looked DOWN on the Statue of Liberty across the water.

It is a composite...if she were actually that high (at least 15 thousand feet) it would likely be fairly cold). Another possibility is this is shot thru a wide angle lens...but would need an expert in optics to debunk that...

How about a fisheye lens from the SOL? The angles and distances could work with a fisheye. The lens may be only a few feet from her head and still have a large portion of the mainland visible.

Many people in NYC actually live in castles they build in the sky. This is most likely a picture of sombody looking down from their front porch.

LOL

I note that the Twin Towers exist in this picture, therefore; whatever it actually is represents a period of time after July of 1971(when both towers were completed) and before Sept 11 2001.I would assume Photoshop or some other adjustment program. It is rather a clever way to evoke a sense of timelessness.

I vote composite. It certainly does not look like a model, it looks like a real photo from many thousands of feet up. The WTC were 1,200 ft I think, and they look like toys in this shot.

This woman would be something like 10,000 ft in the air....and the WTC make the zepelin theory seem impossible.

The more I think about what has been said and what my first reaction was. Consider this —— Perhaps it was a dirigible (think the Goodyear Blimp) taking shots of the completion of the Twin Towers. They look fairly new in this shot. Maybe the purpose of the photo is to show the completion of the Trade Center.
