ScienceDaily (Dec. 16, 2008) — Observations made by NASA instruments onboard an Air Force satellite have shown that the boundary between the Earth's upper atmosphere and space has moved to extraordinarily low altitudes. These observations were made by the Coupled Ion Neutral Dynamics Investigation (CINDI) instrument suite, which was launched aboard the U.S. Air Force's Communication/Navigation Outage Forecast System (C/NOFS) satellite on April 16, 2008.

“The height of the ionosphere/space transition is controlled in part by the amount of extreme ultraviolet energy emitted by the Sun and a somewhat contracted ionosphere could have been expected because C/NOFS was launched during a minimum in the 11-year cycle of solar activity.”

I poked my head into space and it exploded due to negative pressure, so I ran around really fast and went back in time to unexplode it.

I'm fine now.

I seem to recall some Russian guy saying how there are regions of increased energy in the Universe and our entire solar system passes through them at times. I believe he says (or perhaps the data proves) that we are passing through one of these Universal Energy Zones (or whatever they call them) now. So not just the Sun’s energy perhaps.

I read the article. Blah, blah, blah. So what does it mean? If it's a problem, whose fault is it. (GWB, Rove, Global Warming, loss of habitat, human enchroactment, Palin, conservatives). I mean, so what? The sky is still up there, isn't it?

As the atmoshere cools it condenses and the topmost layers come closer to Earth's surface.

Prepare for a serious "minimum" or maybe even the return of the North American Ice Sheet.

a satellite is launched and 9 months late it discovers that the atmosphere boundary layer is lowest it has ever been in history? That is some satellite!!!
Do I see chicken little writing this article?

We’ve become more dense, as evidenced by the elections, which increases the gravitational pull.

So there we have it, the sky IS FALLING; no wonder the CO2 signal is squeezed so tight.
