Her inspiration for this one had to have been Teletubbies.

Thanks for the link. This picture looks almost exactly like the poodle I "inheritated" from my ex-wife. She was agreat friend (the poodle), but had to give her up when I moved. Her new owner deeply loved her, but unfortunatley she (the poodle) was run over in a tragic accident. RIP Crystal.

The Russians are substantially bulkier that Schnauzers, although they definitely hae Giant Schnauzers in teir blood lines. From the breed history on the UKC website:
"The history of the Black Russian Terrier began in 1930. The breed was created by the selective interbreeding of Rottweilers, Giant Schnauzers and Airedales, by the Russian Military. The intent was to develop a native breed that would fulfill the need for a large, working terrier, suitable for a number of tasks, while being able to endure the harshness of the Russian winter."

She says: "I started to think of pattern ideas and looked for inspiration all around me - from the television, books and even in my back garden"
Looks like she found it in those 12 hits of acid she dropped all at once.

My friends dog was more like the Russian Terriers, huge, very strong and somewhat aggressive.

And to think I caught hell from hubby for putting a Harley hat on Gyp.
I think it nicely compliments her 'Charlie Manson' eyes]

I used to work at a boarding kennel and we had a big black standard poodle that came in. His name was Marley and his top know was very long and braided with beads on the braids. It was pretty cool actually.
