God bless them all. There are so few WWII veterans left. Hubby’s uncle was one of the original Army Rangers who stormed the beach of Normandy. He’s in intensive care now, suffering from bone cancer. He’s not expected to make it.
I will keep him in my prayers. They don’t make many Americans like him anymore. The boys of Pointe du Hoc. Mom and Dad were both WWII Navy vets. They put their wedding plans on hold and both joined the Navy right after December 7th, 1941.
