I will keep him in my prayers. They don’t make many Americans like him anymore. The boys of Pointe du Hoc. Mom and Dad were both WWII Navy vets. They put their wedding plans on hold and both joined the Navy right after December 7th, 1941.

My dad was born and raised in Peru and was to old to be drafted so the DOD took him and sent him to Bolivia to .... uh ...... build airfields. They put him in a house with a fine view of the German embassy.

"They put their wedding plans on hold and both joined the Navy right after December 7th, 1941."Wow, THAT is dedication. My grandfather also joined the Navy at the start of WWII.
Thank you for offering your prayers. May God bless and keep the those who gave their lives fighting WWII, as well as those veterans who survived.
