Amen, Bob! And a good morning to you!
Christmas isnt the time of year when our thoughts naturally turn to the Last Supperor what the Jews called Passover. But that particular Passover is critical to Christmas. After breaking bread and giving it to His disciples, Jesus said, Take, eat; this is My body (Matt. 26:26). Breaking bread was a traditional part of Passover, but adding this is my body was a striking departure from the familiar liturgy. The disciples must have been bewildered.
Later the meaning became clear. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, which means house of Bread. He was laid in a mangera feeding trough. He once said, I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh (John 6:51).
The prophet Micah indicated that One born in Bethlehem would rule over Israel (5:2). But not until Jesus came did anyone realize the uniqueness of this Kingdom. Christs rule would not be imposed upon anyone; it would be imparted to those who accepted this new citizenship.
As we sing of Bethlehems manger, lets remember that the heaven-sent infant King came so that we might eat this bread and partake of His divine nature.

Of course I think there is no more beautiful state except possibly Wyoming. Those are pretty flowers too.
So wonderful,the opening is!!
Words and pic!!
;o)
I love to search for pretty scenes, traveling by the net..I have enjoyed many along the Blue Ridge..I have never been to West Virginia or Wyoming.I have been to Virginia.
And Thank You again, for that, pretty ping...I hope You have a blessed day too.
Mine will be busy,shortly!
Going to a play;continued CHRISTmas shopping, and treating some Fam members to dinner out!!!
:)
Google “Wonderful West Virgiinia Magazine” and click on the photo gallery to see a lot of pretty pictures of WV. America is truly a beautiful country, but I have my favorite states of course. Virginia is one of them also. We lived there twice. But it has been somewhat spoiled in the northern part by D.C. area. That same spoilage is creeping into N.E. WV now. I hate that. Martinsburg has become a “bedroom” community for D.C. Hopefully that is as far as it goes, but I won’t hold my breath.
Thank you for the meaningful Daily Bread this morning, Mr. Mayor. Enjoy a Blessed Sunday with your family~~~~
Sounds wonderful..Enjoy!
I think I'm going to nap for awhile. Later.
Good Morning and Happy Lords day to you both!

Morning, Mayor..Do you have snow?
Adding to this day's celebrations, it is also PrissyMissy's birthday!
It was nice to see you Friday, Marissa. Hope you have a happy day!
Ah, letter writing day, today. Here’s a touching letter to Santa:
A Child’s Letter To Santa
Snowflakes softly falling
Upon your window they play
Your blankets snug around you,
Into sleep you drift away.
I bend to gently kiss you, when I see that on the floor
there’s a letter, neatly written
I wonder who its for.
I quietly unfold it
making sure you’re still asleep,
It’s a Christmas list for Santa
one my heart will always keep.
It started just as always
with the toys seen on TV,
A new watch for your father and a winter coat for me.
But as my eyes read on I could see deep inside
there were many things you wished for
that your loving heart would hide.
You asked if your friend Molly
could have another Dad;
It seems her father hits her
and it makes you very sad.
Then you asked dear Santa
if the neighbors down the street
Could find a job, that they might have
some food, and clothes, and heat.
You saw a family on the news
whose house had blown away,
“Dear Santa, send then just one thing,
a place where they can stay.”
“And Santa, those four cookies
that I left you for a treat.
Could you take them to the children
who have nothing else to eat.”
“Do you know that little bear I have,
the one I love so dear?
I’m leaving it for you to take
to Africa this year.”
And as you fly your reindeer
on this night of Jesus’ birth,
Could your magic bring to everyone
Goodwill and Peace on Earth.”
“There’s one last thing before you go,
so grateful I would be,
If you’d smile at Baby Jesus
in the manger by our tree.”
I pulled the letter close to me’
I felt it melt my heart.
Those tiny hands had written
what no other could impart.
“And a little child shall lead them,”
was whispered in my ear
As I watched you sleep on Christmas Eve
while Santa Claus was here.
