Thanks—hope you’re having a great day as well! 70 here yest and sunny. Today—cooler and rain. Like we need more. Sigh. The last few years it seems to be one or the other—drown or drought—with nothing in between.
There is just so much great reading material out there—100 lifetimes wouldn’t be long enough. I appreciate you bringing stuff to my attention!

Next time we have mule/donkey or jackass day, I think I will post a picture of Nancy Pelosi.
When Marissa is in school, I try to take a nap in the afternoon. I am able to take a nap even when she is home but I don’t unless I feel that I must.
Hope you have a good rest.

I was thinking along more political terms of a white horse clad in black...

It’s been a good day, thanks. Cool and grey, at least we didn’t get any precip today.
My solution to excessive reading material is having my brain kept alive and installed in the Library of Congress, see how far I can get.

You're thinking of warmer, more southerly origination?

Prayers up, ladies.
We had a harrier go down @ 12:30 today at MCAS Cherry Point. Pilot confirmed dead. Crashed in the woods so no other known casualties.
Didn’t want to say anything before it was confirmed.
To: gardengirl
Prayers on the way for the pilot’s family.
Thanks for the heads-up GG.

It’s a public library. Should be able to do it. I’ll meet you there!

Sounds great!
Wouldn’t that be cool?! It seems such a sin to spend your whole life acquiring knowledge and then it’s just...gone.
To: gardengirl
I saw that on the news, gardengirl. Makes me sad when any military man is killed. Wonder what happened. Some reported they saw fire and flames before it went down. Sad.

Thanks, Ladies.
We don’t pay much attention to the planes—they’re just always there. It’s a wonder there are so few accidents, given the number of planes that fly all the time.
That was the weirdest to me, after 911 when all flights were cancelled for a couple of days. The silence was...terrifying...is the closest I can come. Then after they resumed flying, we looked up every time, with a mixture of fear and pride.
To: jaycee
A hunter saw it, said the harrier was making a lot of noise before it went down.
So sad.
So many here are involved with the base, one way or another. Either they’re military or they work on base or they’re related to one or the other.
